She's a journalist. I highly doubt that. I personally think this case was so ridiculous it's probably going to go some way to restoring some semblance of common sense to the police forces obsession with wasting people's time with non crimes. No one should even be allowing themselves to have anything to do with stuff like this. Once it was clear what the police were at her door for, she should have told them to go do one.

@@frankbrodie5168One would think. I would have thought same until recently but fear more likely is that Police will avoid these with public profile, connections, resources leaving us with a law that is in practice applied against the more vulnerable. Selective application, in other words, of a law that already seems to be applied very, er, unevenly, shall we say, and is pretty bloody subjective. I can’t believe there is not widespread uproar over this. Anyway, you might be right Frank, the Police might remember we are British!

Farming is the most complex way of life...its not a job as any other...its vocational, a lifestyle, an unwritten agreement to always care and manage the precious land and help provide food for the country. Literally it was our land and crops that fed us all through the worst of times during wars and rationing.....our ancestors would have starved to death and no war could have been won....it is absolutely wrong to undermine such a fundamental basic for life....this has to be reversed asap. Its hearbreaking farmers and suicide have been reported on too many times before this abysmal plan was slapped on them. Farmers grow...big supermarkets order but should they not want all of the crop, they can just cancel or lower the amount theyll pay for....the farmer is contracted to that supermarket so when they lower or cancel crops, the farmer is immediately taking huge hits to the annual budget. Its make or break year after year and the toll is insurmountable for too many of them. Governments pay farmers NOT to grow on all of their field's...how ridiculous is that aswell......britain should be growing and surplus can be sold to other people....the farmer would then have some measure of security and financial stability.....
