To the Brits coming from an American’s perspective, just know we respect your decision for whatever you want for your country. As much as Americans want to just refocus on the issues in our country, we recognize that we’d be happy to still have close ties to the Brits while we navigate through restoring our countries. It could be fruitful on both ends, Americans have a high trust towards the British and the British has proven to be trustworthy. However, admittedly we do recognize that the same cannot be said the other way around, while there are a good number of Brits who somehow favorably trust Americans, the reality is that there’s also a large portion that has a growing resentment towards us. There’s little point in sugar coating this. Looking more into the matter, a lot of Brits it seems has more of an identity to being a European and it’s completely understandable. First off while the Brits has been joked as the black sheep of Europe, the UK is a country in Europe. Second, the past generations has been more accustomed to other European countries both in the proximity and being so involved in the EU. So Americans recognize that the British are going through an identity struggle atm, and our own shortcomings as Americans we recognize is not helping matters either. Just know that the era of the neoliberal America is gone, there’s a small chance of another Obama coming in to put you guys in the back of the line, there’s this growing desire in the US to restore and retain our western values, much of which originated from Anglo Britain. As much as we’d feel happy if we could work more closely to one another and try to help each other out, the last thing we want is be in a close relationship where there is disdain for us, if there still is, we will respectfully give you space. I think the only thing Americans want from the Brits is just focus on what is best for your country, and to perhaps remember the value your country’s history, culture, and heritage is to the free world. I don’t think Brits recognize they have a bigger impact on the free world than they realize, it might not seem that way, but the Brits are more motivating than they can comprehend. A lot of Americans believe in the Brits, ultimately we will respect whatever decision you make.

USA is our greatest ally!!
@kate2create738
@kate2create738 13 сағат бұрын
@ And the UK is ours, truly our dearest, an alliance that to us feels like family. However we recognize that we haven’t been better allies that the Brits deserve, and we have a lot of work to do to refocus our country’s priorities so that we can be trustworthy, if we manage to gain trust back again. As much as it would make us happy to have our relationship close again, ultimately the last thing we want to do is impose ourselves on the Brits when the Brits are in the state of confusion themselves of who they are. Americans generally want an equal relationship with the Brits, we always have, always. We want to offer the Brits the best we can offer, the last thing we want though is to break the British’ spirit. Americans, the same ones not the globalist elites, have had to had a very hard look at ourselves and how we come across is the opposite of what we intended. We sincerely thought we were helping our allies while balancing ways to get countries who don’t have the same alignment with our principles to cooperate to create some stability in the world. How does no one see the freaking irony that our forefathers fought to be away from an empire to only become one at the end? Americans has had a lot of humble pie in the last 20 or so years, a lot. One of the things we recognize is that our politicians has used the public sentiment against us as a weapon to foster and implement their selfish status quo to the rest of the world, for stability sake. The hardest thing we’ve had to come to terms with is that we are not actually helping but just meddling, try as we might we don’t have the solution for everything. Quite frankly don’t understand how we are still in this position of “world leader” after we’ve managed to end up making things worse. We have messed up badly, in order to fix what we can, we have to start by fixing our country first, hence the America first motto. It doesn’t have to mean America only, but recognizing there is a severe need to clean up our country, from the government to the society, before we make more decisions that have been reckless. It would mean a lot to still have close connections to the Brits, help out however we can to give you guys a boost in someways, but we also understand why a lot of Brits are sour at us. We recognize that the Brits also have close relationships with the Europeans too, and if the Europeans might have a chance to make your lives better, the last thing we want is to make the Brits feel like they have to chose such a decision. Americans will honor and respect that decision if the Brits aligned more with the EU, just as we’d be grateful if the Brits did want a closer relationship with us again. It’s your country, thus this is the decision that the British must make for themselves. I wish it didn’t have to be an us verses them scenario, Americans are just recognizing that whatever is being laid out isn’t working for us, nor a lot of other countries, with the faith of understanding the importance of prioritizing sovereign interests could hopefully rebalance things. We’d be happy if the Brits were with us in the endeavor, we also want the Brits to be in whatever position that is best for the people too.

@@kate2create738 Thank you for your wonderful words. If things get any worse here in the UK regarding the replacement of our National Identity and our pride in it, we may really need the U.S. to come to our rescue. Please understand, the vast majority of Brits do not want what is being forced upon us. Our bulldog spirit has been slowly eroded by successive governments pushing multiculturalism and inclusivity and we have been far too polite to question its credibility. However things are beginning to change.....and it's tangible. We are finding our bulldog spirit again. From a proud patriotic Brit.

It’s a very simple matter of manners and respect. If Starmer had any hopes of being respected as a leader of a tin pot broken economic bankrupt country then making friends with as many world leaders would just seem common sense and well mannered. But sadly Starmer thinks he’s made it to the top step and has decided to upset as many people as he can in the hope they will see him as some big communist dictator not to be messed with. Oh dear that’s not going so well.
