I live in North Lincolnshire and these damn solar farms are springing up here, we already have hundreds if not thousands of the damn windmills btw. From my back garden fence i can look to my left and about 2 miles away (as the crow flies) there is a football pitch sized solar farm on the side of a hill. I notice since that last storm (Desmond or whatever it was called) there appears to be a few ‘gaps’ where panels are missing. Blown away? Damaged? Probably. All this Net Zero rubbish gets on my wick, carbon capture, what a load of nonsense. Pumping CO2 into deep holes underground, like anyone can possibly think it works.

Have you ever realised that "renewables" do not exist?As a mere example: If a photon leaves the sun tit will never ever return to the sun the be "renewed". All forms of energy "renewables" are actually replenishables, which are fundamentally different (in appearance, use, function etc.).

Tthe solar panels and wind turbines also have a lifetime. Eventually they will breakdown or electronics will go and will need to be replaced. Currently they can't be recycled from what I can tell. Back in the late 90's a professor from UNSW in Sydney who was a leading Solar researcher told me its not worth it. I know the costs have come down to probably a fifth of what they were in the 90s, but in the UK solar could be useless. In Australia with lots of sun it would be better, but we have to ask where are the panels made? How much energy went into producing the panels? When will the panels produce more energy than was used to make them in the first place? When will it break even and how many years will it run after breaking even? So many things to consider. These Liebour folk and even the Cons don't have the brains to work all that out.

The idea that you can pump carbon dioxide down old borehole is somewhat ludicrous. The temperature as you descend underground rises, so liquified cabondioxide would create extreme pressures. So we can't fract for gas using a similar process, but we can for carbon capture. Also is it a coincidence that the permanent secretary to millband has a brother who is heavily involved with some renewable energy companies and has strong links with some of Dale Vinces investments?
