Jay Slater The Full Story: How Search For Missing Teen In Tenerife Unfolded In Tragedy

British teenager Jay Slater vanished on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife last month, giving way to a chilling mystery.
A search effort spanned weeks involving family members, police and volunteers.
It started off as an ordinary story - a 19-year-old who attended a music festival on holiday with friends. Jay had later travelled to an Airbnb in rural Masca, an 11-hour walk from his accommodation with people he met on a night out.
A phone call made on 1% phone battery to friend Lucy Law on Monday June 17 was the last time anybody had heard from him.
Social media was rife with conspiracy theories and many questions were still unanswered after Spanish police called off the search.
After 29 days of searching, the body of the missing teen was found close to his last known location.

I saw today a post from someone who joined one of the earlier searches, he videos his his visit to the site where the body was found, and stated that he actually searched the scrub land where the body was discovered. He was maybe 2feet from the body. I think this story illustrates how difficult it was for all the searchers.

There's still A LOT of unanswered questions about this! Like why would you take an 11 hour walk with no mobile battery and no water? Why would you not walk along the road and instead go through very harsh terrain filled with cactus and no clear trails? If he was happy to walk for 11 hours why not not just wait 1 hour for a bus? The only thing Lucy Law said that i feel is that he had a smile, His smile was captivating, that truly cheeky ,lovable rouge, and i can see why this story took on its own life, irrespective of his beginnings, Many people saw more than just a young reckless 19 year old ,who had made mistakes , they also saw a side that could he could have manifested into a great young man , many have been captivated ,by this young man and many would have wanted him to be ok ,sadly the end is not as many prayed for ,and it really should be a time to allow the family to grieve ,Debbie Duncan said he was her right hand ,her baby ,you can see he adored his mother, his family ,and at the end of the day it really is just about them .
