They don't pass on what has happened in shifts as they haven't got the language skills. Where is the incentive for us to continue working in those conditions? Most of us in the sector struggle to pay rent, council tax ect and they get cheap accommodation ??? Care companies aren't in it for the care but for the profit. They'll stop employing locals on minimum wage and employ immigrants on 80% of the money the locals get paid. THAT is how it'll keep wages down. The only people profiting will be the companies and immigrants.

As someone who has worked in the care sector over 10 years this is disgusting. They dont have the correct skills, language or even the need to be working with the elderly. To top it off the companies will employ the immigrants as they will pay them less. Care is a vocation not a job. You need to want to work in this sector! I have seen too many people taking jobs like this as they "need the money" not because they want to do it. I know of companies that hide what their staff do as they dont want the publicity and will tell staff " leave or we sack you". Those staff go on to work elsewhere and what they get up to never gets revealed. How you treat your most vulnerable says a lot about your society. If you take people you know nothing about, that cannot do the job, that cant even produce their passport when they land in the uk what sort of a care system do you think you'll have??
