I feel sorry for Amesbury! Well, that nice little Wiltshire town I do. That thug besmirching its name and all! As a side-note. I nearly got nicked by the MPs for being there in Uniform. The place was 'out of bounds' to military personnel at the time (I volunteered to get a load of food for a barbecue on the Plain) they pulled up over the road from my Land Rover. One, an arrogant young Corporal, the other, an even younger (looked about 14) Lance Corporal. They came strutting over to have a word with me 'a mid-thirties squaddie with rank' and asked why I was there and that I knew the place was out of bounds. I played the 'ignorant of the fact' card and was told to leave, which of course I did. That was one of several times I had been in direct contact or observed interactions with Redcaps. Which has ever since made me wonder if they were of woman born. That's apart from them being condescending, arrogant little krpics.

We have the highest minimum wage according to some guest on another show, which she seemed really pleased about. However imagine for a minute that you are working for local councils who’s annual rate went up 4% yet the minimum wage went up just under 10%, now we have a possible 8% increase and I bet the council uplift will be less than half of that, on top of which NI for employer will be rising. There comes a point at which a company cannot operate any more, which means the employees will be out of work and the service they provide is lost
