Perfect marriages or relationships aren't real; they're all different. What works for one person might not work for someone else. But I've come to understand that there's always a solution to problems. Five years ago, my wife and I were close to divorcing because of issues in our marriage, but we found a way to fix them. It was tough, but we survived.

I felt bad for the nurse…she just sat there kind of in shock with a weird smile on her face, yet looking like she secretly wanted to cry. I was somewhat surprised there weren’t stronger reactions to these people telling them they didn’t marry for love, which makes me think most of them pretty much knew the truth already. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@indianajones443 that didn’t matter when people were kids 20 odd years ago - absolutely everyone said it because they found it very funny, there was no disrespectful intent behind saying it (unless kids said it to their mothers.) I don’t think you can blame children for copying what they hear on TV, it’s a natural thing to do for all kids 🙏🏼🩷🩷 (For context, in a pre-internet, semi-rural town in the U.K, but absolutely no child or adult was aware that this was offensive in any way, and that’s just a fact - things have changed a lot since then.)

@@indianajones443 well, they did in England in the 90s - it was the catchphrase of the hour for quite a while for no other reason than people thinking it was a hilarious saying. It’s just a fact, and not even an opinion on anything at all. If you can currently even resent small children over 20 years ago who had very little understanding of the hatred and division of the world at large, for repeating something that became an extremely popular saying on a foreign chat show, I don’t know what to tell you. If divide and conquer keeps working like this I can’t see how humans can survive past the next century.

I bet she regrets it now… that she didn’t save the marriage with Omar. A good man is hard to find. You can have all of the money in the world but what happens when you get old and you have no one to truly love you and be there for you through that process… a lot of people die lonely and sick. Wishing they can go back and rewind the time.

I wonder what Tracy is doing today in 2024? 🤔 She only married for someone to take care of her. Not one but 3 times. This is thirty years ago, so she should be in her 50's. She's a user. What goes around, comes around. 😑

Unpopular opinion: The First Lady is not wrong. That man told her he’d take care of her. He then changed his mind, so she decided to leave. Any woman who marries for “love”, is crazy, and will only end up broken. Marry for stability. Many women don’t love the man up front, they end up falling in love with him, as he begins to prove himself to her.

That's true. He led with provision and he knew that's what it took to get her from the beginning. She's straight forward and one can't really be mad when a person is honest and stands on their truth. Men taking away what initially attracted their wife is one of the main reasons women want divorces.
