England is really low on the list in terms of fines for this tournament.

The English hooligan element is pretty much history and has been for some years, most England fans at tournaments are now middle class folk who can afford the costs of tickets, accomodation and travel, the rest of Europe has more of a hooligan problem and the English will sometimes be the target, the English are seen by many European 'Ultras' as an opportunity to boost their own reputation because of the past reputation of the English. In some recent tournaments English fans would get drawn into stuff because they were drunk, such as in Marseille when the Russians went looking for trouble with the English, it was for exactly that reason I just mentioned, to boost their own reputation, there are groups of foreign lads now that nick England flags to make it look like they have fought English hooligans and won, when in reality they have just took them from normal fans who were not looking for trouble.

Why are they trying to justify booing the national anthem. Its disgusting and should be quite rightly punished. I would maybe make an exception if there was a situation like say, Russia being in the tournament and booing thier anthem as a political point (although I'd still expect here to be a fine). But no, this booing of other countries national anthems is a disgrace.
