Not wrong though is he. Football is not played on a fair level playing field. All those complaining about city are not realising all they have done is ignore the rules to get themselves to a point they are able to compete for titles. All clubs should be able to compete and the rules are there to stop them. I want a league where every club has a chance to compete and currently that is not the case. I want a league where it's about who has the best team and tactics and who is managed the best not just the clubs that earn the most money win everything which is what we currently have.the problem is not city it's football and how we have let it get to a point where money wins you titles. The fact they put these rules in after Newcastle were bought shows you how corrupt it is. As soon as there was an owner that could finance a club to compete at the top the other clubs voted rules in to stop it. That's not level and fair is it.

TBF it's always been about money. Look around the other leagues. It's always been the richer teams in major metropolitan area that have been succesful. In Germany it's always been the west German clubs that are successful because that's where the money is. In Italy it's always been the northern clubs because that's where the money is. This isn't something new. For me there's only 2 fair choices. Either a hard salary cap like America where every club can spend the same amount regardless of revenue or no rules at all.

Football hasn't been fair since the Premier League was instigated... and the very reason it was created and when the Cartel took over football.

@@russellward4624 the difference is back in day if you got a rich owner you had the chance to compete with the other rich clubs now with the new rules it stops that from happening. Every had a dream and new owner would come in and win trophies now no matter how much money you have you cannot compete with the top teams. It's appalling when you think about it. And you are right they need make it some each club has a limit they can spend not % terms and actual limit so it's fair for all

City is right in this case, PL is breaking their own rules and is being unfair to the majority of the clubs.

It’s not like it’s a new thing. City didn’t start this whole thing . Chelsea didn’t even start it. Money has always played a part in success. Man Utd struck gold when they pulled through scholes/neville/beckham etc back in the 90’s. Don’t be naive thinking that was their model. They broke the British transfer record multiple times and spent money which contributed to their success. Every team throughout history has done it. These so called ‘legacy’ clubs have their knickers in a twist that other clubs are trying to compete and the only way to do so is to spend money
@JW-fb4li

There is a difference in a club spending money and a club monopolizing football. They dont just are able to spend an unlimited amount of cash to buy first team players, the also splash the cash to try to buy all talented players across the world using their satellite clubs. With 12-15 clubs that can outspend the majority of the clubs in Europe which results in a declining level there and are able to transfer them between those satellite clubs as a 'transfer'. If no rules are needed to be followed it doesnt just impact the pl but all the competition around the world to different degrees.
@s12856
@s12856 43 минут бұрын
Feeder clubs have been around for decades - contracts and payments to lesser clubs in order to get first dibs on talented players, buy up talented players across the globe to prevent rivals getting them, send them to feeders on loan to assess whether they're actually going to make it, or in order to get a work permit. The only difference is that many parent clubs also own their feeders now. Arsenal got bought by wealthy owners and then splashed the cash throughout the 20s in order to turn them from perennial 2nd tier relegation fighters into the most dominant team in the 30s (with the help of a dodgy promotion to boot 💰) Copy, paste, find, replace the last paragraph with United and James Gibson in the 30s. Almost on the brink of bankruptcy at the bottom of Division 2, Gibson came in, splashed the cash, and they were fighting for the First Division title within a handful of seasons before WW2 hit. Once WW2 was over, the Busby era started with an all-star squad. The only difference with Chelsea and City is time and the fact people weren't there to see it with Arsenal and United. But it's the same story.

Its all a joke, Newcastle are being held back with new rules creeping up to hold them down even more. Meanwhile the big 6 teams who have historically benefitted from there being no rules are complaining and crying and moaning because they don't want to risk another European competitor. Sick of seeing "Pundits" in favour of Chelsea's billion dollar spend or City making 80m of subs saying it woudnt be fair for Newcastle to spend the money it now has What an utter joke

Unfortunately, Newcastle voted for FFP to be introduced in the PL in the first place - probably through some jealous rage that City won the lottery. What clubs like them are finding out now is that they shot themselves in the foot. And it's City who have been the one constant in trying to stop the regulations.

"my assumption"... Lol. Jordan tying himself in knots again. Flip flopping his way along""I've changed my position" "new clubs can't assume the opportunity, the last club off the rank were Man City". Which is precisely what City have been saying for fifteen years. The rules are protectionist and have been shown to be illegal. Crossing out the odd line with a crayon doesn't fix that. The premier league is run by amateurs out of their depth. They are not fit to run a global multi billion pound industry.
