THE PL wanted a private hearing and that's what they have got. The PL brought the case against City yet in 3 years (according to you, seems you know something nobody else does because it wasn't announced until February 2023) the PL have not produced ONE SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE against City, so to say the club have failed to provide anything is (a) total speculation because you don't know if they have produced anything to the PL or not; (b) completely meaningless because they do not have to produce anything to you or me, (c) completely untrue because in a PRIVATE hearing the evidence you produce is heard in PRIVATE, and (d) completely irrelevant because it's not City who have to prove they are innocent, it's the PL who have to prove they are guilty. Every single one of you needs to get this into your head. Not one of the articles or videos you have seen, read or heard has told you anything beyond what the initial announcement has told you, which is that City have been charged, because no further information has been released since by EITHER party. But as stated it is the PL who asked for it to heard in private, so stop blaming City for doing what they have to do, release any information they have to the PL, and to the PL only, at the private hearing, NOT to you, me or anybody else.

For those unaware, Stefan is openly a Man City fan and former adviser for Man City. He’s well qualified within legal and is therefore able to go into debates against any sports journalist and wipe the floor with them whilst painting a positive picture around Man City. It’s a bit like an average person going up against a physicist on live TV to argue why the earth isn’t flat. The physicist will still win even though they are wrong just out of having such a deep knowledge that goes beyond what someone who isn’t a specialist of the field can argue. However put them in a room with someone as well qualified and they’d get squashed, the problem is those people are few and far between along with unlikely to want the impact it has on their career wading in on a legal debate involving the highest paying clients in the world. Anyone who tried to paint Man City as victims who are punching up to save the little guy when they’ve won 6 of the last 10 titles is clearly biased.

MC should be suspended from any participation in the league pending the outcome as they are sueing the PL. Then they can sue the league if it’s proven they are being unfairly treated. If they are sueing because they believe they are being unfairly treated, why do they choose to play according to the rules and sign up to the rules? The team and the fans had the most dour, hopeless 15 years of football in living memory for Newcastle fans. We[nufc] win the lottery, get to be a competitive çlub again, and what happens? The EPL and clubs like Spurs, Liverpool, manU and Arsenal sh*t themselves and change the rules, not for the betterment of the league but rather to protect their own financial positions of dominance. The result is Newcastle fans spend the summer praying we're not going to weaken our squad by having to sell Isak, Bruno or Gordon to stay within spending limit rules. I'm not convinced we weren't better off without hope under Ashley. We're now battling the whole cartel. It's not like Newcastle are being run by Peter Ridsdale ffs... let us spend some money and bring joy to a long-suffering fan base. The current case is the culmination of the issues that underpin the 115 charges. It's to do with the unfair practice of inflated sponsorship deals. The rules that the premier league brought into place do not exist without the way City conducted their business when they first came into the premier league so they are very much connected.

Stefan really is very singular in his mindset. If they win or lose, it has an impact on the next case because it informs the status quo, either the premier league appears corrupt or not, and they can then argue that there isn’t sufficient evidence brought by the premier league to support their claims of misrepresentation. Of course there’s a correlation, the same two parties are involved in both cases. To say there isn’t has the logic of - well I know that you’re getting divorced but we need to assess the implications of your mismanaging funds in our relationship. There’s a separate case for that, which differs from the divorce, or something of that ilc. Of course there’s a correlation, that just seems to me to be common sense. And btw, the panel of people adjudicating the case against Man City will read the news in the lead up to the trial, how can they not be influenced by the outcome of this case?

There's more at stake for the EPL than Man City for this case. If City win, then it reduced credibility in the EPLs arguments of the 115 charges. If City lose, then it might slightly boost the EPLs credibility but really nothing signficant will change ahead of the 115 charges case.

One of the glaring aspects of the Man City case or cases is that Man City has a legitimate argument. It seems like everyone assumes that 115 charges have been filed that this supports the F.A. in presenting Man City as flagrant and wanton cheats on a monumental scale. But one could show that by allowing Man City to conduct business affairs in a specific way for literally 'years' that the F.A. is, in fact, complicit with the aforementioned transactions. 😂❤

City aren't ruining football the PL did that themselves by allowing a nation state to run a club in the first place. All that's happening now is the inevitable consequence of decades of the PL's own greed they've created a well oiled machine that's too powerful for them to control. There's every chance City will win this particular case fair and square because we're operating in legal and big business realms where what is "fair" in the purely sporting sense is completely irrelevant.

The amendment is tabled at the November meeting (with advance warning of what to be discussed) and a consensus asked for and given regards the rules. It's in the article, the PL charter on introduction to proposals, and City's own statement that they object to the amendment vote. That's 3 sources with quotes.

Should City be successful then opens a can of worms. Clubs can then look at all kinds of ways to legally challenge rules which are not made up by Barristers
