Disagree with all these commentators saying "Wilder is a shadow of his former self" and "He left some of himself in the ring after the Fury triolgy" etc. Wilder hasn't gone downhill at all, he's just been finally made to fight world level opponents in 4 of his last 5 fights whereas before he was an overly protected champion with a really poor resume. Had the Fury fights taken it out of him he wouldn't have knocked Helanius out like he did in his next match

@@Anthony.Joshua-s_Irish_Grandma After Joshua's victory over Joseph Parker, his team initiated negotiations with Wilder. While a $12.5 million offer was made to Wilder, Wilder's team countered with a $50 million offer to Joshua, which was met with skepticism. To make a big payday for DDD fighting Joshua next is a good idea. To develop DDD to his full potential he should fight a few more boxers a little lower down the rankings to give him more skills against a variety of opponents. He needs to improve his defensive skills as he took a lot of right hands to the head in his last fight. No need to rush him at 26. A bad knockout by Joshua might ruin him.
@andrewcarson58505 ай бұрын
I agree 100%, but when has DDD backed down? The Joyce fight was an awful match up at that stage, yet he took it without blinking. Usyk was an ever worse idea, but again he stepped up without question. Miller was a massive risk, yet he took it in an instance. Got a lot of respect for him, but AJ could push him back down the ladder and really damage his legacy. It'll be life-changing money though! If I was his manager, I'd get him in with Helanius or suchlike, two or three challenging but very winnable fights.

@@andrewcarson5850 This where you need a manager with the boxers best, long term interests at heart.
