In a way, learning a new language is like being a baby in that country. The first time any of us learned a language was when we were babies, so it makes sense that doing it again makes us feel like that.

Adult brains have trouble processing sounds they're not familiar with, so they come up with the closest sound in their own language. Some people are better at distinguishing sounds than others, and almost everyone improves with practice.

Make flash cards to memorize the Korean Alphabet Hangul, go over them everyday, after you learn them, learn Batchim then Consonant Assimilation, making flash cards helps a lot! Go to the KZbin channel Miss Vicky, she teaches Korean and is really helpful! After learning Hangul practice reading sentences out loud! Try singing along Korean songs :)

The vocabularies are hard to memorize but with self-discipline like studying 2 hours a day I think it is manageable. My friends managed to cram almost 10k vocabularies and basic to intermediate grammar rules in 6 months to face EPS TOPIK (to get E9 VISA). They studied intensively though. Making conversations is different story lol

@kpopgrrl
@kpopgrrl 5 жыл бұрын
Koreans tend to say foreign names in the foreign order but because there are so many common last names in Korea, Koreans usually use first names. It's not considered rude to refer to someone by their first name but they will often just refer to people by their title plus -님 like 선생님 or 사장님.
