@@christinalongjam9568 they still take a ton of time to get your brain to be able to differentiate the difference. I remember hearing literally 0 difference between all of them whatsoever, and now I am sort of able to tell the difference for ㄱ, ㄷ & ㅂ but only if they are pronounced very clearly and one after the other so I can compare. I still have a very hard time differentiating for ㅅ & ㅈ in any situation. Itll come with time but its definitely crazy hard for a while

I missed 2 of them, but this was a lot easier than I expected for something called "Ultimate" level :p It would be helpful to continue a series like this for testing conversational comprehension (that's what I thought this was). I am quite bad at understanding conversational Korean if the sentences are too long. Could you make a series that includes this? Thanks for everything you all do!

I would love more of these exercises! I especially tend to mix up the ㅈ and ㅊ but honestly they’re all a bit difficult at timesespecially when casually spoken in conversation without having the intention to pronounce everything very clearly and precisely.. if you ever do a video like this again in the future it’d be really nice if you could include a word within a sentence spoken casually! This video was super helpful so thank you! 😊💜

0:15 For number 1, ㅂ, I have noticed that lips 👄 press together like the start of an M sound, but tighter like the end of of "pop". So, it's strong than the ㅁ But less than the "B" in English, since their is a cross 🤞.(kinda) 0:30 For 으, to me it sounds like the American slang word "Eww" and Ugh", but combined, becoming: "Eeugh". The 우, sound like one's mouth 👄 is still shaped like "Eeugh" but it's about to slide into "O's" DM, but it's body was cut off by the window, if you know what I mean.😂 Then the 오 , sounds like the top half of "U",like how you position your mouth, but the sound is shortened and crossed with a drop of the "O" . Which is why it doesn't sound as round as the "O". 0:41 더 It's like, the tongue is at the "Th" combines with the "L" position of the tongue. The tip of the tongue touches the top teeth. But it comes with that retarded "DURR" sound. Only at the start of the "ThDurr" for the 디귿😂 How can I explain? THE 어 sounds like you have your mouth 👄, full of water, while trying to say, "All or nothing" but you skip the "O" in "Or" , stop at "ALR" Without the hard "R" finishing sound. So, when something comes to your mind, your like "Aww, ok. I get it." It's like that, but curved ..? How can I explain? So it sounds like "tdhaw", just different. 너 when he says it, as far as his accent is concerned, sound like a mixture of "Nah" and like, when you say, "Sultan". You take that "Ul" part, curve the sound and drop the jaw, then as your going into that LTAN part, you stop at the beginning sound of "L". Because it's not an "L" 😂 but it sounds similar like it got stuck and it's leg was cut off. 😂 터 is not really a hard "T" sound. Actually, that English v"T" sound seems closer to 디귿 than 티읕. Just not as aspirated. 터 sounds like the "T" but and obviously, he raised his intonation. Think of English as the rock and roll brother and Korean as the cousin who everybody thought spoke Spanish, Arabic and Japanese, but ended up being all of them and yet, still reserved , when it come to sounds. 😂😂😂😂😅😅 Just curve ball and hold back while you speaking all of these complicated syllables. Are my methods confusing? I swear this is how I can hear the difference. I probably can't imitate it perfectly, but I can hear the difference.... If you want more, comment below. Tell me if it worked for you to hear the difference. Therefore, I can know I'm not an quack. 😂😂😂 Anyway, I had used "Go Billy Korean Hangul" and "Ewha 1-1 Korean University textbook audio" to learn HANGUL. I studied the sounds more with "Ewha" because it was more vibrant, and I played them over and over again. I still forget when I'm reading in Korean, so I like to revisit the Alphabet pronunciation guide every so often. I can't even explain why I like Korean in Korean yet, but I can hear these sounds, when it's slowed down like this. 😂 And sometimes, naturally. Even in 비싸다 and 사다 I can hear the difference. Ones softer than the other and sound like a mix between"T and s" and a "shh quiet in the Library" whisper. I'm taking Linguistics, so this description will become more profound when I obtain my Masters in 5 more years. Idk

Believe it or not, you can find the answers of the Q7 to 10 only by the pitch difference, since the goal is to distinguish ㅂ, ㄷ, ㅈ, ㄱ from ㅃ, ㅍ, ㄸ, ㄷ, ㅉ, ㅊ, ㄲ, ㅋ. The pitch of the first syllable of the word starts with ㅂ, ㄷ, ㅈ or ㄱ is lower than that of the first syllable of the word starts with ㅃ, ㅍ, ㄸ, ㄷ, ㅉ, ㅊ, ㄲ or ㅋ.
