Very early Kiteboarders or -surfers flew their traction kites also without lines. They attached the loops or handles directly on the briddle - or even hold the Kites on some spreader strunts.

Nice vid, fun experiments. I'm a kite foiler and have been recently going the other way. From long 27m kite lines down to 12m with my 15m kite. Love messing around and trying to understand the changes it makes.

Amazing 👍👍, I'd like to know what flying characteristics a wing like that has, but it will be a bit dangerous. You could try a little jump off the dune

I did try but there were some problems. The feedback the wing gives is very different and it's hard to change your perception of where the wing is. I kept correct the wing wrong. The other problem is even with a lot of wind this is quite a small wing, so it wouldn't take my weight. In short, very easy to groundhandle, very hard to fly :)

Next steps ... 1. Soar with a Kitsurf wing 2. Add inflatable stuff to a paraglider. This is so cool that you make and try what everyone would dream. 👍👍
