I hope we get story breakdown videos for this album the way we did for Matriphagy. One of my favorite things about Tallah is the stories they are able to craft so well into their music. Matriphagy was one of the most interesting and original stories I've ever heard, in any piece of media. I can only imagine what Tallah has in store for us this time around!
@evanblake52522 жыл бұрын
Man, this is a trip and a half. So happy to see new Tallah, and it's nice to be once again pleasantly surprised by the result. Y'all have continued to make every single song so recognizable as Tallah, and yet so distinct from the others, and I will be listening to this a lot in the coming weeks leading up to more singles, and months leading up to the album. It's not unusual for a band to have a lot of range and variety, but what's different about Tallah is that it seems like every single piece of music has a totally unique identity and shape. Hope that makes sense. I'd expect nothing less from the damn virtuoso that is, Justin Bonitz, and anyone he works with. The concept sounds really cool to me, should be a lot of fun. Regarding the song, I need to listen more to process everything, but I'll comment on certain elements now, crazy pacing, just an onslaught of fast pummeling sound and then a few dips into slightly slammy or breakdown territory, before picking right back up. Felt like some sort of violent Tallah style joyride. Also that chorus is really neat. Definitely adds another element to the song, makes it feel like a more complete piece. Not sure if anyone else hears it, but very subtle Hungry Lights vibes from the chorus. Excited to see what else y'all have cooked up for this album, I know it's just gonna get more wild, and more heavy from here.

Doesn’t seem like there anywhere to go in terms of quality but up for you guys. If Matriphagy was the gold standard, this single seems to promise something the likes of a plat. So good. Always liked the rap verses in tracks off the former album, and it was so cool to see it amped up here, along with the overall heaviness. The beginning hit like a sledgehammer to the face on the first listen, all in a good way, and the chorus wrapped it up across the middle in a nice little package, only to have that drop into that sick as hell section towards the end. The drumwork was impeccably chaotic as always, the vocals were top-tier manic, and the riffs were badass. Undeniably, inexplicably Tallah. And, because it can’t be said enough, so good. The game, too, was such a creative way to bring the lore to the forefront, as well as keep us on our toes for what’s to come. The new theme had already piqued my interest by the time the first post on IG showed up pointing to it, since the potential with it was huge. With Matriphagy setting an awesomely dark precedent, science’s inherently detached nature making an appearance, and the talent of this whole band combined - well, there is no way that isn’t cool. I’m running out of adjectives, not that I used many. Spectacular. Fantastic. So fucking good that it would be a crime not to play this track (and the album when it gets here) 50 times the same day. You name it. Thank you.

Honest question - is this going to be some sort of concept album? They mention “Bruges” in this song and The Impressionist. No complaints - so unbelievably hyped for this new record!!

This and The Impressionist have become my favorite songs by them followed by LED and Kungan
