Painful hands tally making. No sound. Answering a question on how to make tallies when arthritis and other conditions makes it too painful to control the tensioning either palms up or palms down. I resort to this way when I need to, all the tensioning is made with one pair on one side at a time, the other pair is held still with side of the hand. The shaping is done with the two loose bobbins. Notice one of the white pair is used on each side to control the shape.
