I've watched so many of these now, and I always appreciate the fact that the kits are only "room" miced. Too many videos have a closely miced kit, and it really doesn't give a good feel for how the drums will sound live. Great work!

That kick sounds great ! Wide open with no muffling is the way it should be to get the most bottom end and punch out of a kick this size.. Well done Tama !

Picked this kit up a while back and must say it's the most versatile kits I've played for its size. Play anything from Louis Armstrong to Nickelback. Best starter kit and best small kit for someone advanced.

got this exact kit great size as i got a small box room so i cant have much bigger and i am a novice so this is a great little kit to learn and i love the finish love it ..tama make great drums to last .. you make this drum set come alive outstanding drumming.

all 3 cymbals (no hi-hat) are from line called "Big and Ugly" - there is XSR Monarch, HHX Phoenix and AAX Apolo

it's a shame that they do not have it in chile, I have the tama silverstar vintage ltd 22-14-12-16 it is surprising the sound that it has, but these measures make it more compact and perfect to study and go beyond the standard styles. greetings to all

Great playing and demonstration. Fabulous snare, but I see it’s a SONOR. Nice sounding toms too. Pity they don’t put the RRP of these kits ( in US dollars ) Would be very much of interest to everyone.

best value over the gretsch cat ? ... need a gig kit like this... gretsch are pretty but, even if this drum is n t tuned in a classic jazz way (and the very good drummer is nt realy playing on a jazz way ;) ) these drums seems to sound well, what do you recommand? thanks

Laurent Ol. get the Tama. I have a silverstar metro jam I use as a practice kit and jazz kit, it is amazing. I used to own a Gretsch Catalina and it just didn't have as "clean" or "pure" sound as the Tama.

Batter heads on tom toms and snare are Remo Ambassador coated, on the bass drum is factory head type Powerstroke 3 clear.

I love this site, but again using different snares to the brand being demonstrated. The snare is the most important part of a kit.

As you know, no every drum set include snare drum, and this video is primary focused and presented drum set Tama Silverstar, no snare drum. If we have matching snare drum, of course we use it.
