Koji Tamaki's "ikanaide" is a requiem. In Japanese, ikanaide = not only means "don't go", but can be interpreted as "don't disappear" To briefly explain the lyrics, I was crying all the time when my loved one died, but I wasn't crying sadly, I was crying because I was happy to see you and to be touched, but it never disappears. I wanted you to stay by your side all the time. That's what it means. I'm not good at English and used Google Translate. I'm sorry if it doesn't get through well. It's my favorite song, so I'd be happy if I could share the content.

I would like to comment because I felt your wonderful sensitivity. The word "ikanaide" means "don't go away," but these lyrics intentionally hide where they don't want you to go. I understand from the lyrics "happiness come from the warmth when touch me" that the destination is heaven. Then, I imagine a scene where the person says, ``I'm glad I was able to see off my loved one before her body became cold.'' This song is a sad song that expresses the feeling of not wanting to break up as "ikanaide".

Hi Maureen. First things first, His name is Koji Tamaki. :D You are right about Dimash. Kind of. Ikanaide is the "original" song that Dimash's Autumn Strong was based on. I also watch another channel called Mama Clare (Japanese couple reacts) and they shared this about his song. the Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung adapted the song (Ikanaide into Cantonese, calling it Li Xiang Lan, with the meaning of the song different from that of the original song by Koji Tamaki. In 1993 Jacky Cheung adapted it to Chinese Mandarin, calling Late Autumn. Late Autumn is then revised by Dimash into what we know as Autumn Strong. Koji Tamaki is an amazing singer that is very good at putting emotion into what he sings. You can see why Dimash put so much heart into his version when he created it. He was inspired by Ikanaide.

I subscribe to you when I see this. There is a beautiful and bittersweet story behind this song.... He is singing about the lifelong heartbreak of his Wife, who has passed, thus this performance is EVERYTHING. Yes, Dimash performed this, as he was similarly moved by the story. yeah Dimash sang this song in Chinese Version I think....both of them sang it beautifully...I think Koji Tamaki is the original singer...the story behind that song is so tragic...it is about a Japanese Actress who pretended to be Chinese....
If Dimash's song is an oil painting with overlapping colors, Koji Tamaki's song is like an ink painting. I am deeply impressed by Dimash's song, and deeply impressed by Koji Tamaki's song. Dimashの歌が色を重ねていく油彩画ならば、玉置浩二の歌はまるで水墨画。 Dimashの歌には、心から感心し、玉置浩二の歌には、心の底から感動する。
