Guys regarding issues at UMSC, its Mubajje him self who called the general assembly following the UMSC Constitution to discuss some issues. No one should decieve that Muslims just gathered at UMSC to force Mubajje out. Those were general assembly members invited by Mubajje him self. In fact the conference even ended. It was not for every Muslim that's why those who wanted to creat chaos yet they were not part of the general assembly were not allowed by the police security deployed.

Shia and sunni both believe in one Quran, follow prophet Muhammad and five pillars of Islam. Shia sect arose after death of Prophet Muhammad pbuh during the process of selecting successsor among the companions {on who was to lead the Muslims} . The group that supported cousin of the Prophet{Ali} gave birth to shia sect and later on caliph Ali became very important figure in shia sect. They emphasize Caliph Ali leanage and line of imams in their belief system. As result, the original followers of the Prophet Muhammad were nicknamed Sunni, meaning people who followed the sunnah or traditions of the Prophet pbuh. Shia who form 10% world Muslim population, have hundreds of minor sects within, sometimes with major different unbelievable beliefs example of such sects.... Ahmadiyaah, Ismailia and many others. Satanic verses is not connected to shia belief.. It was book by Sulaiman Rushid {left Islam} attacking Islam based on verses not part of Qur'an but were attributed to satan. Iran leadership were very vocal on this matter and that is how they became highly connected stanic verses book vs Muslim world.
