I love how organized you all keep everything..my kitchen looks like a tamale war zone when I get to making them..I ventured out of the safe prepared masa zone last time and made with mesca para tamale was so proud of my self didn't do it the lazy way either manos and sweat heh!! lita would have given me a pat on back and that smile!!!..el ray market in san juan capistrano has the best homemade manteca so I gave it a go..will use the cheese suggested next time I bet it holds up better to melting as it is like a heavy string cheese...I also love my cheap plastic flat putty tool to spread the masa you might want to try it..gracias and love sent ..I did the famous slurrrrrrp at the end looked so delicious
