+Destiney Uzaka You need to have some common interests and things that you both enjoy and are passionate about. No matter how good the sex is, after a while it's gets old. I would say it is very important to truly like the person. I don't like the 'keep yourself up' business. Because if you actually care about YOURSELF, and love yourself and value who you are, you'll do it anyway and don't need to be told, it's part and parcel of accepting who you are and liking yourself. Anyone who does it just for their marriage is doing it for the wrong reasons. People are attracted to those who are well groomed and well kept because its a sign of confidence. Anyone who does it just because its a rule they should follow needs to check themselves, might be some self esteem issues. People who look hot in sweatpants are confident people!
@starbeautysix39676 жыл бұрын
thechampionessa maybe money issues keep people from looking hot. So if a husband have complaints help her keep her hair done, help her with the house duties and watching their children and keep her nails done. Women cook, watch children, clean, wash clothes, go food shopping, some work as well. So help your mate look good if you have issues maybe she's low on the funds. Wives too.

God, this advice was horrible. If every woman just stood up and decided that no they aren't going to be subservient and just do whatever pleases a guy. then a lot more men would actually have to work in their marriage and expect to do their part instead of just sitting around and expecting to be served. its sickening. why are so women like this agreeing like oh yes keep up your looks. you married a guy that you think wouldn't be interested in you because you didn't look nice? really? horrible message for young women. there seriously needs to be a change in the marriage dynamic, lets stop going off on an idea that was made thousands of years ago that makes women lesser.
@banbina189 жыл бұрын
+Jordan A i dont think they mean, stay skinny, stay curvy. They mean maintain yourself nice. When a woman looks like she takes care of herself it shows that she values herself, when people see that you value yourself it makes others value you even more. This doesn't mean put makeup on everyday, workout a lot, and don't eat. It means invest time on yourself because if it looks like you love yourself more people are likely to look at you with higher standards.
@lizrichardson93128 жыл бұрын
+banbina18 I curious about your opinion... How would one show they care about their looks without clothes, makeup, or physical fitness. Keep in mind I said looks not the other wonderful things they at be doing.
@VONiiE88 жыл бұрын
+Liz Richardson literally, the most basic things. Showering, washing your face, pampering yourself. Idk who lied to y'all, but relationships aren't just two personalities clicking. Life isn't a walking romcom, it's takes more than a great laugh and nice smile to make a relationship work.
@bmelamusic8 жыл бұрын
+VONiiE8 HELLO! PREACH! TELL EM! That's why too many people get divorced. They think you fall in love, you stay in live, you die in love. Nope! You WERRRK in love. Love and to stay in love is work. Put in the work, see results. Not to say that a woman is only made to please men. Heck nah. I'm here to do me. That's why you and your partner have to have the same foundation because you're both individuals. He's got to do his part and you have to do yours. Putting on weight or losing weight doesn't break a marriage because if that was true Future wouldn't have cheated on Ciara. It's about maintaining yourself the way you are, not trying to be a stepford wife thats aint gonna work anyway. Walk to the same goal at a similar pace and you will most likely be fine. That's what I got from this segment.

The best marital advice I've ever heard was: have no expectations. Be focused on upholding your end of the marriage. That way you remain grateful and pleased with whatever marriage turns out to be and whatever your spouse does, rather than becoming disillusioned and under-appreciating them. Side note: I'm not married, just thought it made some sense to me...

Tamera is absolutely correct and Jeannie always makes me laugh with that impersonation.. Lol! I also think that this sex thing for married couples is over exaggerated sometimes.. I believe any relationship is divided like a pie/pizza.. With several/equally divided slices that contribute to a healthy whole.. Each slice is a different necessity required for a healthy relationship.. Too many people try to make sexual intimacy like half of the pie instead of keeping it in proportion with everything else.. The minute you lose balance and try to over compensate in one area over the other, you cause other parts of your relationship to die of starvation.. Keep the balance and keep each portion up with a spirit of excellence and you can be sure that your relationship will be well balanced and healthy for the long run.

Of course I would be clean, always. And dress up when we go out or stay in...you know those days **wink** But I'm not bending over backwards to get a wardrobe full of fancy clothes just because I got a man. Some days I'll dress down, some days I'll stay in my jammies all day, some days I'll sleep in that raggedy T-shirt. He better not expect me to put on sexy lingerie everyday; otherwise imma want him in Armani Everyday!
