For those lovers of Purandaradasa this is a treat indeed. Another one I would like to hear from the "vande guru paramparam" is Purandaradasa's composition "Nimma bhagya doddado, namma bhagya doddado". The story goes that Krishnadevaraya the emperor used to take loans from the Navakoti Narayana Krishnappa Nayaka who later gave up everything to become Purandara dasa. When he meets the king, emperor chides the saint saying you have become a mendicant, but I am still the king. Tell me who is great now. This song is a reply to the emperor which is so beautiful, ending with "nimma bhagya Lakshmi devi, namma bhagya Narayana".. It is so befitting and touching.. Worth sharing with humanity - I am sure Kuldeep Pai will find this inspiring as well. It was once sung by Nagaraj Havaldar that had such an electrifying effect on audience.

ಅದು ಬೇಕು, ಇದು ಬೇಕು. ದೊರಕಿದವೂ ಎಷ್ಟೋ. ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಒ೦ದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು. ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಅನ್ನುವುದು ಒ೦ದಿದೆ, ಪಡೆಯಲೇ ಬೇಕಾದ್ದು ಅನಿಸುವುದಾದರೂ ಹೇಗೆ? ಬೇಕು ಎ೦ದದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಛಲವೂ ಸಾಲವೇ. ಪುರಾಣ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು, ಪ೦ಡಿತರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ನುಡಿದದ್ದು. ಈ ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಬಯಕೆ ಬಹಳವಾದರೂ, ಇ೦ಥದ್ದೇ ಬೇಕು ಎ೦ದು ಗುರ್ತಿಸಲಾಗದ ಅಸಾಹಯಕತೆ. ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಎ೦ದರೆ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಸಿಹಿ ಎ೦ದು ಕೇಳಿದಷ್ಟೇ ನಿರುಪಯೋಗಿ. ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಸಿಹಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದ ಸಾಲದ ಹೊರೆ ಭಾರ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಾಲಿಗೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಗುರವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಮುಕ್ತಿ? ಪುರ೦ದರದಾಸರು 'ಕಲ್ಲು ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರೊ' ಎ೦ದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 'ತ೦ಬೂರಿ ಮೀಟಿದವ,ಭವಾಭ್ಧಿ ದಾಟಿದವ'. 'ಬರಿದೆ ಬಾರಿಸಿದಿರೋ, ತ೦ಬೂರಿ' ಸ೦ಗೀತಗಳ ಇ೦ಗಿತವಾಗಲೇ ಬೇಕು, ಕೇಳಿ, ಕೇಳಿ, ಕೇಳಿ. ಕುಲ್ದೀಪ್ ಪೈ ರವರು ಭಕ್ತಿಯೇ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಎ೦ದು ಹಾಡಿ, ಹೊಗಳಿ, ಹಾಡಿಸಿ, ಹೊಗಳಿಸಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಸಿಹಿಯ ರುಚಿ ಹ೦ಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಠಲ, ವಿಠಲ,ವಿಠಲ.
