Had batch 3 many years ago. Very nice. Old independent bottles of Tamdhu from refill bourbon hogsheads are great. The spirit has a specific character that is really good. Cheers Erik

i've tasted batch 1 and 2, they were both great drams. Haven't seen this around here in Sweden for a long time now.

Great review Erik. I have a Batch 4 open, & its terrific. I prefer the 15, but nothing wrong with the Batch strength either. I thought it might compare with the Glenfarclas 15, & I reckon they're about the same (score-wise) in my opinion, neither coming up to Glenturret, perhaps the Tamdhu 15 in 2nd place. With Christmas around the corner I might need to line these two up with my A'Bunadh (#32) included.

Thanks for the review! You once reviewed the Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso (matured in first fill casks) in a crititcal way. Having the Glenlivet myself on the shelve I agree (although it improves with enough water). My question is this: how does the Thamdu batch strength relates to the Glenlivet Nadurra?

That’s a great question. Maybe I should do a head to head comparison in a video.

Great colour and bottle ❤ how do you compare this to Glenfarclas 105? Thought that one is a mix of bourban and sherry, maybe not the right thing to compare it

105 is tacky cheap in comparison 🙂

Panettone and Christmas cakes are vastly different in their density of flavour.

I didn't say there were EXACTLY the same, otherwise they'd be Christmas cake and ITALIAN Christmas cake. But pick out a bit of dried orange form them and that one component would be similar to the dried orange fruit note sherry cask whisky.
