I got to see Tame Impala at a festival in Chicago the Summer of 2018, and the whole day felt... surreal. There was this growing anticipation all day before you see them, like you're in the presence of greatness. The show itself was a blur to me haha, I just remember how amazing it was and the setlist and the overwhelming scent of cannabis in the air. One of the best nights of my life for sure. Also the next day Jay Watson reposted my photo of the show on Instagram...

Pitchfork! I remember it was scheduled to storm and everything we drove nearly 10 hours to see them. 2018 Pitchfork was an amazing show. It was my fourth time seeing Tame and so far, my favorite (2019's Shaky Knees was also up there). I remember specifically a moment between songs where Kevin looked at the rain accumulated on the stage and went "... Slippery when wet." my acid-riddlee brain spent the next few minutes trying to interpret that statement
@alhsaux4 жыл бұрын
If you take closer attention to the lyrics of this song, it makes sense why it didn't make it to the album in my opinion. I feel like this song was a great way for Kevin to say "album in coming, here's this song while you wait". It's kind of like a reflective song about time, which is basically the main idea of the whole album, and didn't include it because, the patience ended once he released the album? idk thats how I interpreted lol
@seanld4444 жыл бұрын
Definitely a sensical interpretation. I was mainly offended it didn't make it onto the album because I figured KP thought it didn't deserve to. But the song itself is amazing. If we're going off yours though, totally makes sense.

@@seanld444 Why'd you think he thought it didn't deserve to make it to the album?
