Don’t forget the Holy Grail reverb for Desire Be :) It looks like he’s using a Line 6 reverb of some kind in the pic you showed at the beginning, but there’s pics from 2009-2010 of him with a big-box holy grail!

I’ve been looking for years someone to find the EP tone! I always thought that he used a tiny practice amp and layered it to get the lo-fi sound but DI into a br600 seems like the way to go. Thanks heaps brother!

Can you get these tones without a BR? Great video Edit: Asking cause I use a sd-1 instead of a blues driver into a fender amp, and I‘m looking for a similar tone, but not as lofi

The blues driver is the bulk of the sound, but what you can try to do is just have the guitar on the bridge pickup and try rolling off the tone knob a bunch to get the same dark sound. Thats what I used to do with my strat before I owned a BR. It worked out pretty good.

If youre using the BR unit for the sound, cam you still record it in a DAW? Like is there a mono through option?

the BR goes into an interface to a daw for recording, otherwise it would be BR > Speaker for jamming/non-recording
