I run a Hustle Ink and its pretty tame in heavy oil but dried up lanes or light oil and it comes to life! Love it!

Got the Hustle AU for Christmas this year. It's overpowered compared to other balls I've used.

Why did you go with pin down layout instead of your typical pin up that you usually use? I would think that a high flare pin up layout would work better for these balls
@TamerBowling5 жыл бұрын
Typical Male pin up pin down, really doesn’t matter all that much. It has a high flare layout on it but I chose pin down just to slow it down a touch if anything. I found the ink a little over under with pin up so was hoping to just smooth them out a touch.
@IAmTheEggMan1115 жыл бұрын
TamerBowling - thanks for the additional detail. It’s funny though. I drilled my Ink pin down and hated it. I’m going to redrill it pin up this time and use a 3.5 in pin to PAP. We’ll see what happens
@TamerBowling5 жыл бұрын
Typical Male biggest difference you can make to influence the ball reaction on a sym is pin distance. Surface is the biggest influencer ultimately.
@IAmTheEggMan1115 жыл бұрын
TamerBowling - VAL angle does not do much? I did try different surfaces but more surface only made it bleed energy. Still hit like a turd. Note that I was not trying to use this for heavy oil. I was using it as a burned up THS ball. I could hit the pocket all day and flat 10 all day as well
@TamerBowling5 жыл бұрын
@@IAmTheEggMan111 VAL angle will impact the ball reaction less than 5%. That's why I mention. For me personally, the INK didn't match up as well for any shot. It seems to leave flat corners for me as well, even on drier shots. When I get it to the dry earlier, it checks up. I found the Hybrid to be much better in that regard for me personally. I think bowlers with lots of hand match up better as they can whack on it and it stays smooth.

Short low to medium oil pattern, these balls would be beasts.

I always find it surprising seeing pearl balls like the au being so rolly and slower to shape up, I'm used to seeing more snappy angle motion. At least, that's generally what I see from the Pearl's that I've had.

James Scobey if you like the unknown and want something similar I’d say the new chaos black looks like a small step up but similar Flippy yet smooth ish reaction.

The Ink is a much better ball with the polish removed. Sand it at 2k-3k and it is amazing. I can't imagine any of these other balls being better for my game. The Ink is just too good.

Low diff layouts, low diff cores? My general rule of thumb is never drill a weak ball weak or it will be a condition specific, over/under nightmare.

Brian has low rev med speed I also have same style was the hustle ink his fav? And what was his pin layout was it just pin up or was it high flare pin next to ring finger ? Thanks

Looking for a ball inbetween the Hyroad X and the Hustle HSB for my wife? Do you have any suggestions that would fit inbetween them please?

Joseph Marie that’s a very small gap so not sure. What is she experiencing with the 2 balls? Are those the only 2 she has?

How do you like the hustle pbr ? Does it do well on sports pattern too? Thank u tamer
@TamerBowling4 жыл бұрын
Haven’t thrown it myself but have seen it several times. Looks like a very good option when you want a little more cover than core and looks pretty good on sport shots from what I’ve seen as it offers good control.

@@TamerBowling awesome thank u so much tamer I really appreciate it . I love to watch your videos on reviews. I have the black widow pink (based on watching your video) and love it☺. Had it for a year now. I think the pbr will be a nice addition. I cannot wait to get it!

fun fact, Au is the atomic symbol for Gold. before Gold was called "Gold" it was known as "Aurum" hence the atomic symbol. pretty clever naming scheme on the pearl Hustle

I have an ink. It's a beast on short and broken down patterns where my heavier balls just hook too much or grab way too early. One wood house shots it's one of the best balls I have.
@ryanbradleyrankin5 жыл бұрын
Thats' because they are different. Ink(Solid Thrilled Coverstock) H.S.B ( Hybrid VTC-H18 coverstock) Au (Pearl VTC-P18). So not only different coverstock types solid/hybrid/pearl but the H.s.b. and Au have different covers from the ink.

James Richmond thanks! We do this on our own dime so it’s hard to do it all without some support. B doesn’t support us currently so it is what it is. I will say I appreciate storm/ebi/motiv support as it allows us to be honest and direct with our reviewers without coloring it with staff colored glasses😉

TamerBowling how can you tell if your bowling ball is dead. And how many games does it typically take for a high end performance bowling ball to die? I have a halo and have easily used it 300-500 games. It won’t hook no matter how much spin I put on it.
@TamerBowling5 жыл бұрын
Seth Rudin high end balls are like snow tires. They only last so long. They get slick eventually and there’s no bringing them back. If you have tried oil extraction and resurface and it doesn’t hook like it used to then it’s lost some performance. You have to decide when the performance is gone enough that it doesn’t do what you want it to. Many high performance balls start to degrade around 50 games and progressively lose performance. Doesn’t mean you can’t get more out of it.

This was frustrating seeing the other guys play lines on house and sport that were not ideal for their style.
