Oh Lord these look yummy I’m 6 days in the Simple Diet and have lost 3.6 lbs. I was always a Twinkie and Ho-Ho kid. Tami love your haircut, Kevin sounds like he has a cold? Great review as usual. ❤❤

I agree that that chocolate Twinkie is begging for a chocolate coating but I'd still choose that over the ding dongs . I love the calorie count and everything is improved with the addition of chocolate to me !

I'll give these both a try, but I think I'll end up sticking to regular Ding Dongs in the end. Now that you have Hostess' attention, can you put in a word to bring back their cherry sweet rolls??? Omg... I miss those so much! They disappeared when Hostess shut down and never returned. Do you remember them? I'd take those over any other Hostess products, hands down. Are you listening, Hostess?!

Maybe it was just my box but I thought the mashup was super tough. Even more tough and chewy than a regular Twinkie. I'm still hoping they bring back the through the Susie Q. Another great review guys!

We agree; they are tough but they are traditional Twinkies texture. That’s why we never have enjoyed them.

I've tried the chocolate Twinkies and thought they were very good. The Ding Dong Twinkie is just a chocolate covered Twinkie.

I've never been a fan of the texture of Twinkies. I think the only thing I liked from the as a kid were the original cupcakes. The icing on them is the best part! I preferred other brands like Drake's and Entenmann's. I'd personally much rather have a Devil Dog over that chocolate Twinkie... I'm surprised it took them this long to do a double chocolate one though.

The mashup variety reminds me of chocodile Twinkie. Remember that? Basically, a Twinkie dipped in chocolate. I was not impressed with that. I'm going to look for the mash-up at my local Walmart. I'm hoping it won't taste like chocodile Twinkies cuz those disappointed me. I'm also extremely interested in the chocolate lovers Twinkie. By the way Tami I finally found butterscotch scoop Snickers. I hope you and your husband find it and review it. I'd love to hear your opinion on it. I enjoyed this review very much. I'm excited to find both of those new hostess products😃😃😃

The Twinkee/Ding Dong cakes taste good, but the texture is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off - way too chewy, almost rubbery. Twinkees are a soft spongecake, not packing foam-like.

I remember being so disappointed the first time I tried a Twinkie! It had almost no flavor… it was just super sweet… and the cream filling was more almost greasy… I live butterscotch krimpets and was expecting something more like that… what a letdown…
