I made this last year for my brother for his birthday because he loves Oreos, but I crumbled bits of real Oreos into the cake and frosting and it made a huge difference! :)

@@TamiDunn It did! This year, however, I'm just going to buy a Pillsbury vanilla cake, add Oreos to the mix, buy vanilla frosting, and add Oreo's to the mix to the icing too. You can buy the mini containers of Oreos in the snack size (they're like $1.00) at Target and Walmart, so those are teeny tiny and easier to crush up! :)

I like the fact that they give timing for different size pans, takes the guessing out if you don’t have the specific size. Sad that to hear just put the name on packaging. It’s so about making more money for these companies. Thanks for the review.

i am an oreo lover and i have yet to try a baked good that actually tastes like oreo, I've had mixes and items from bakeries, I don't know why but it seems like that flavor just can't be replicated in a baked good!

have you tried crumbl's chocolate crumb ft. oreo cookies? probably the closest taste to oreo aside from official oreo ice cream sandwiches

You're right that it shouldn't be labelled as funfetti! And do it yourself is right. Even if you aren't a from-scratch baker and just mix crushed oreos in plain canned frosting, it would be better than this.

Bummer. I like a chocolate cake with a vanilla 7 minute frosting. The kids decorate it with mini Oreos. I would just do that.

Sure, great it's cheap but talk about being CHEAP with the ingredients... you going to market it as Oreo, then it better be Oreo. NO skimping! You would literally need to buy a packet of Oreos and mix them in yourself... Here you can even get a bag of crushed Oreo "dust" for baking. Cheapskates.......... Not saying I wouldn't eat it 😂 but I have the right to complain! 😂 I want my Oreo damn it! Damn you Pillsbury! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

I tried this because the mix was only 50 cents at the Dollar Tree. That should have been a warning. This video should have been a warning, too. This is the worst cake mix I've ever tried. I don't make cupcakes often, but they usually are really good on their own without needing frosting. This one needed the extra sugar because I didn't find the cake sweet at all. You are right when saying this is a gimmick because it tastes nothing like Oreos, or even something good enough for Funfetti to stamp their logo on.
