QOTD: I was excited for Gensis. Played for about 4 hours with my bestie yesterday and so far...I hate it. I hate the idea of the maps not being connected. I hate that there isnt a nice neutral starting area. I'm not impressed but we will keep trying because I really wanna get into the new tames and missions.

yeah the start is harsh but imo its really fun to have missons around and the store helps in the start and the teleport thing can be annoying but its not like it ruins the expeirence. and all the creatures are fun to tame and use. + they all have special mechanics so they are worth getting even if its just to transfer them to diffrent arks

Genisis was meant to be the hardest map so far in the entire game, but I would recommend starting in the arctic biome, it's the easiest

i would deffinetley reccomend continueing its hard but great.I hate the maps not being connected to but youll get used to it.+Its very dificult but once you get a powerful tame the tames start rolling.The youll have a lot of fun ,be able to do missiions.Etc. I spent like 20 hours on the ocean and now i have an army basilosaurs(i do have taming rates up tho)

You can hold h key on dinos and helana will scan it. A pop up shows and it tells you what lvl and also all of its stats, also has a range of about ten meters as well. Hope this is helpful!!

Tip: if you know what direction your home is north east south west, etc, you can have Helena teloport you there, I'm pretty sure it can tell port you send creatures, I haven't tamed anything yet, so I haven't done that yet, but I've teloported everywhere using Helena

QOTD: Honestly, I love the concept, love the animals, love the biomes wanted to go in and it broke my 5 years old savefile, lost my character, lost all my tames, bred & tamed, lost all progress (Beaten everything except Valguero and of course Genesis) thousands of hours of progress down the drain. Right now been busy since 8 am yesterday to fix it (4 am now) still no success. Something about Kernel32.DLL As much as I love ARK 5 years and 7k hours got nuked out of existence. So far all I have are the videos from you, Cheese, Syntac and Phlinger to look at it. Hope you're enjoying it so far, I hope I can soon too.

Another place you can go to get a ferox is at the fro-zone mission the mission is at a cave where they are but there are a ton of polar bears that Might kill them but it’s a very cool place👍🏼

you can mutate a ferox by putting element in one of you slot and feeding it to them they also give you element dust and shards when you drop them on the floor sometimes

QotD: The map (maps?) looks amazing and all the creatures' abilities are awesome, though the learning curve seems.... steep. And I can't see "normal"/hardcore PvP being very fun, since there doesn't seem to be many good places for PvP bases, so alpha tribes miiiight be at a significant advantage

I've been playing Ark like many others since it first came out on beta I prefer watching people play so I know how to react in different environments I we'll have a better understanding of what situation I am getting myself into in different locations you can learn a lot by just watching someone walk around like the thylacoleo I learned if you fly at a specific height they cannot reach you I learned that just by watching someone play but that's just me
