You can download a shot timer on your phone. A dedicated shot timer is better because it's on your belt, but your phone will count shots with splits and string of fire.

I had the same lockback troubles with my Platypus and also put that little piece of grip tape on the same spot. Try using Rob Vogel’s grip by rolling your left wrist forward more as well as installing a shielded thumb safety. It’ll take some time to fit and is a pain but you can get a much higher person with the right hand.

Today on gewehr thumb (nice) 4:53 duck beaver creature that has spurs and a sting that can’t be alleviated, not even by morphine. Real question did you have to remove the holster plug for the threaded barrel? Wondering if the low profile ot plug would fit. Assuming that’s a 6300 holster for a staccato xc..

@5:30 Lol. If you switch to barefoot shoes you also have to make sure you have fixed your running form first. There are a few out there. Basically no more Heel striking or you will have an injury. Also make sure your hips and and hamstrings aren’t too tight.

Always love watching your vids. I would like to offer some unsolicited advice. 1) You have a nasty habit of leaning back while cranking your head forward. This is okayish if your static but the moment you add moment you have to completely change your posture before you even start yo move which is soaking up a large chunk of time. 2) Judging by your hits on target, I would say that you are having vision and grip issues. I would highly suggest you occluded your dot in dry and live fire to refine your visual focus on a small spot on the target. Shots going high are typically due to you staring at the dot and shots going low are due to you trying to over correct the high shots. 3) Grip - I find that putting any input on the gun using my thumbs just fucks things up. I would suggest floating your thumbs off the gun as that leads to less inconsistencies during shooting strings. There are a couple more things I think you could improve on and immediately see shooting gains. These 3 points are the biggest ones that I feel are holding you back the most from shooting really fast while maintaining accuracy. Follow Ben Stoeger and Xrayalpha for B I G INFO.

A typical box drill, or at least in the USMC is 2 to the chest on target 1(T1), 2 to the chest on target 2(T2), 1 to the head or pelvic girdle on T2, 1 to the head or pelvic girdle on T1. It's meant to train the fastest way to engage hostiles with failure to stops on both when you get caught on a 1v2, or even a 2v2 but both hostiles fall in you and your buddy's overlapping fields of fire/coverage. It makes the general outline of a box, but unfortunately many drills do, and the name seems to get reused.

I find that when it comes to shooting different firearms, my hand just immediately molds to certain guns and operating that firearm becomes as natural as breathing. Other firearms, it's just an awkward affair. My EDC is a Ronin EMP, 4.25 inch barrel, 9mm 1911. When my hand touches that grip, there's no effort at all, and I'm driving rounds into the same hole at 10 yards, no problem. My wife's EDC is the Executive Grade 856 38 special revolver and my hand does not know what to do with that grip, and I operate that gun like a drunken Storm Trooper. My wife, however, shoots it straight and easy, and can bill drill with it all day long.

Steel has one big drawback, people hear the hit and think great. Yet shots can be all over the place, you negate practical accuracy for the perceived benefit of speed.
