Or you can wait a couple weeks of no handling at all and leaving them alone so that they get comfortable..then first feed..then 3 more days. Then starting the handling

Yes! This! I don't wait a couple of weeks I usually wait a week. Unless I can tell the snake has acclimated in 4-5 days then I'll start. I don't think I ever had a snake that took more than a week to settle in its new enclosure. However your tip on feeding first after acclimation is great. My baby burm took 4 days to acclimate and only 3-4 handling sessions to start trusting me. I just got her sister yesterday and she's even more feisty. Held her obviously after unboxing and had to check on her heating to make sure it was perfect. Just me checking the hot spot with the temp gun made her strike and hiss lol. She also peed yesterday and she's in shed so unfortunately I have to grab her after shed to clean. She'll hate me for it but it's a must lol.

I like to use a small hook to rub the snake’s head on the top and under the mouth while I’m holding them. This seems to get them over being head shy pretty quickly. I’ve had good results on my baby burm and my boa doing this. Might be something you could try with him as well.

I remembered when I got Medusa I thought she was going to bite me when I was opening the plastic container they had her in I bought her at the Tinley Park Reptile Expo she was the cutest baby corn snake but I wasn't scared if I got bit because she was very little but I did get bit one time her being a adult now but it wasn't bad
