Intriguing game this. Wonder how it is going to end up? Like Rasputin seems to being presented almost positively (if a bit shady and disreputable) here, but then he does seem to have a... suspicious interest in the abilities your character possesses, so maybe not? Is the game setting him up to turn on the player, or is it playing up his sinister reputation to keep the player guessing? Is his desire to prevent the events leading to the war genuine, or megalomaniacal delusions of grandeur?
