I came to see the powerhouse performer prior to her illness. Yes she is definitely the mother of the house of Iman ❤

I bet many people went looking for her old lip sync videos to hate and prove to themselves that she wasn't a legend, only to be blown away by her talent. I'm so happy that I can say I knew who this LEGEND was LONG before drag race 😊❤

She was one of my favorite along with Symone, such a shame her condition limited her mobility. Regardless, she is a legend and a survivor! Really loved her personality in the show as well

She acted very inappropriately on set. We all saw in untucked how to went after kandy and even kept going after her when she tried to get up and leave the situation, before being stopped by the other queens and the production staff. She's a very well known and decorated drag artist for sure, but if she gets disrespect for how she behaved inappropriately there's nothing wrong about that

@@Acadiarome1234 You are absolutely right! Thank you for bringing that up because there were no options for dark then in that time so I definitely understand. I'm really proud of the changes Rihanna has brought to the market. She has so many shades and because of her, other company's have followed.

It may not be picking up properly on camera. Unfortunately stage makeup doesn’t always photograph and record well.
@loscano

It's not her makeup. It's the camera. This was done on film..before digital camcorders were commercially produced. In person that night her makeup looked immaculate under that spotlight.. like a porcelain doll. Also, although not as much as today,there were plenty of drag makeup options for performers with her skin tone in the late 90's.. and they knew EXACTLY what to use. 😊

It’s the 90s. Makeup companies didn’t really cater to black people like today. That’s why you’ll see black/darker skinned celebs looking ashy. They had to work with what they had.
