Tamiya 1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190 F8/9 (w/bomb loading set) - Kit Review

A review of Tamiya's, 1/48 scale, Focke-Wulf 190 F8/F9, model kit, No. 61104, released in 2008.
This highly detailed, Tamiya kit, includes 3 figures (1 seated pilot, 2 ground crew), bomb loading trolley, the choice of building either the Fw190 F8, or F9, ground attack aircraft, a variety of weapon stores, including bombs and rockets, optional canopy styles, standard or bulged (bulged canopy for the F9 variant, or a late-war F8), optional canopy open or closed, detailed cockpit interior, a separate, 1/48 scale camouflage painting sheet, and markings for 3 Fw190's, 2 x F8's, 1 x F9, serving in Germany, Northern Italy, and Hungary.

I think that this may have been a "short run" kit from Tamiya back in 2008. I found mine on Ebay here in Australia, ages ago, but haven't seen one since. The Fw190 F-8/F-9 itself, is one of those hit and miss finds. They're still available, and occasionally end up on Ebay, but, the more common A-3 or A-8 190's are more plentiful. I haven't seen the bomb loading trolley as a separate kit anywhere. I did see one of these reviewed kits, advertised on Ebay, located in Italy, but the price was horrendous. Wish I could help, but best I can suggest is, keep an eye out on Ebay, and hope for the best. Sorry mate. Cheers.
