There is a voltage difference than a 7.2V NiMh than the 7.4V lipo. so based on KV you will get more speed.

Simon Young I saw that after the video posted. For some reason when I grabbed them, I thought they were the same. So it does make sense to have a bit more speed. I know it will help with racing, but it felt negligible as far as control goes. So my son handles it no problem still...which is good. I’ll pin your comment so others see the difference.

Just got my 4000 mah 2s in. Loving it! Fits perfect in the Buggyra and my tt02s. Nice little increase of speed on 2s. Great comparison!

😁👍 Looks nice I like how these trucks let loose in the rear and do that funky sliding action! 2mph is a good increase in speed looks perfect for this truck.

Nice video and nice truck. Thank you. I definitely agree with you regarding the 'fun speed' despite not being really fast. My tamiya lunchbox at 19mph seems so much fun, perhaps more fun than my other much faster cars. The fun factor is great and can't be denied. Take care buddy. 😀👍

Good test. Mph makes no sense to me (not gonna google-convert it when enjoying a video) but it looks like standard Tamiya TT speed about 30 kph or a little less. I would say plenty of speed for this one. Looks so nimble and cool when you run it, sharing it up a little. Did a NiMH vs LiPo test a few months ago too. And yeah, only a difference of a few kph. You got a 7.4v NiMH? Didn’t know that was possible. Sure it’s not 7.2v.?Anyway a good NiMH 7.2v will charge to between 9-10v where a LiPo 7.4v will only charge to 8.4v. Problem is that the NiMH will drop volts immidiately after the charge, when just sitting.

I realize this is after the fact but what model GPS unit are you using their to monitor speed?

Does the Tble-02s esc have low voltage cut off for Lipo?
@NordicRC5 жыл бұрын
Joe Likasimbooody Nope. Gotta run an external LiPo buzzer. Tamiya refuse to set up their ESCs to LiPo, since they insist on recommending LiFe (which is safer for the Japanese children).

It doesn't seem like it handles really well. Are the kit tires any good? Maybe some Proline tires would work?
@CCxRC5 жыл бұрын
I like the drifting with it. I’m sure there are lots o MFC tires that would work on it

Great vid!! This is such an awesome looking rig! Cannot wait to get one. Wonder if you can get drift wheels/tires for this? We have a local drift club here, I'm not really into it but I probably would be with this rig lol. Love to show up with the buggyra😂😂👍

use a much higher C rated Lipo and will get more power transfer. The higher the C rating and a high mah equal Less OHMS just like using a garden hose to drink a shake compared to a coffee stir straw.
