I'll buy one in a heartbeat! Still waiting for my 313mm body (TRX) I won from you, dam South African postal service. Can't believe the interest I have from my crawler group to try buy it from me😂. Thanks again, can't wait to see it in person.

I dig it and thanks for making the video of the build up. I’ve always been a kind of a Tamiya snob and I do hope to add this to my collection. I’m really hoping that Tamiya makes a 1/10 version of their 1/24 LC80 static kit with this chassis.

*TRUE 1/10th SCALE!!* I think sometime... Someone of influence (YOU!), should start a "TRUE 1/10th Scale" Comp. That would include the CC-01-02, MST-CFX/CMX, and a bunch of clones around the ECX Barrage. I think it would fly! 😉 BTW, I'm 55.... You do NOT want to be 59!! Trust me! Carmine ✈🚂🚙

Thanks for a great video! I just built it myself (and struggled with all the nuts). I'm really disappointed with the steering. I have locked axles, and the steering is just horrible. it's a pity, because I love everything else about the rig!

Since you asked: basic Japanese word structure makes the pronunciation of Tamiya - Tah Me Yah. You're welcome now stop pronouncing it wrong.
@garybeckwith90454 ай бұрын
As a Japanese speaker living in Japan I can tell you tah-me-yah with no accent on any syllables. Not TAH-me-yah or tah-ME-ya and definitely not ta-MY-yah.

Pro-Line PL-C interior should fit most trucks. Get some measurements before committing!

@@scalebuildersguild yeah the PL-C interior is listed as being 1" widder than the wrangler body at the doors. So worried by the time you trimmed it the seats would be againsted the windows

How fun it must've been to be stuck on those Frame Rails.... And NOT having everyone and their mother telling you how - because NOBODY has ever done it before!!! And Matt, I wouldn't use GLUE on the hardware either. 😉 BTW, I'm MORE into Model Railroading than any other Hobby. And unlike RC..... People consider me an Expert in Trains. Been doing that since 1974!! 😳

It's an odd choice that they made on that step. Not sure what the motivation is, as it's not a threadlock thing. Weird! I'll find out.

DId you use grease on any of the gears...missed most of video. I'm building a Tamiya Porsche 934 4wd and it came with this very little container of grease for the diffs and motor gears.

Yes, I used grease as directed except where it called for grease on bushings, as I replaced those with bearings.

Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, Tamiya got left behind. All of the other companies are too far ahead in performance and scale to make anything from Tamiya worth the price. Too little, too late.

@scalebuildersguild4 жыл бұрын
The CC-01 was all plastic too. Once built, and I guess you didn't make it that far, this truck is fantastically rigid. Also, keep in mind that it's a trail truck. This is more than built enough to withstand that.

One suggestion when doing a build.. a magnetic tray one that is about 9.5 inch/24 cm by 5.5 inch/14 cm in size.. empty screw bag (which ever bag you need open.)😋.. then if you have leftovers as there could be.. then you'll know of you missed something.. As said in a smart arse way. 😂
