I've built at least 30 kits mostly Tamiya but I've built an Axial SCX-10-III Jeep Rubicon but until I've watched your vid's I thought nothing about gear ratios but I'll start thinking about it now!!!!! Thanks, Ralphie

Bob.... I've been building RCs close to as long as you have (since 1982!) I enjoy watching other people build Rigs! I've got a CC-02 Unimog Kit in my queue, just waiting for me to get to it. You'll likely show me something that I'll find helpful. NONE of us know everything, but we all know different things! 😉

... safe choice on the 55 turn. However I've seen a couple built. The low gear option is SO low, that the Silver Can is almost smooth! Their Semis NEED that Gearing!!
@HobbyconceptsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the semi's gearing even in low gear is still way to high. Alas that is something Tamiya will probably never change...

Something different enjoyed it well done again😊

I like that CC-02 chassis. Real neat and tidy, heaps of flexibility on the suspension. I have a number of Tamiya on and off road RC kits but I'm really waiting for new Mini Cooper body kits to get released before I get another one, come on Tamiya! 👍😁

Without a doubt Tamiya instructions are fabulous. So much time goes into what they do so that the build goes pretty flawless. In my opinion they also produce the best rc bodies hands down. (lexan or styrene) Really enjoyed this build.
@HobbyconceptsLLC2 жыл бұрын
I agree! The body is just perfect, will get that video up today.

I’m building the TAMIYA Bronco kit and will be watching your video for step-by-step guidance! I want to use the metal ball bearings that you’re using instead of the stock plastic ones and I’d like to know what brand and sizes are they? Thank you! 👍🏻

Very helpful. Thank you. I’ll be starting my first Tamiya kit next week and appreciate the great information.

Great video, Tamiya uses JIS screwdrivers. Phillips screwdrivers cannot properly engage "JIS” (Japanese Industrial Standard) screws. It's good to have a full set especially if you work on Japanese cars or motorcycles.

Thanks for the video - I found it really helpful. This is my fourth Tamiya build and I found it to be the trickiest so far for a few reasons: (1) I wasn't sure what dictates whether steering servo should be mounted in the lay-down or upright position - I should probably have done upright, because in the lay-down position the cable coming out of the servo fowls with the chassis (2) The little on/off switch that comes with the ESC seems too small to fit where it's supposed to go in the model (3) The steering servo cable on a Futaba servo isn't long enough to reach the receiver where it's located, so I am buying an extension. Still, it's been fun to build and I'm moving onto the painting of the body shell now and will use your video for that too.

Great video, as I am a first time builder this is perfect so thank you.... what bearings did you use?

Thanks so much for the guide - it’s extremely useful! I was wondering one thing… in the manual, a lot of steps of attaching smaller metal parts to plastic involve synthetic rubber glue, but you didn’t seem to use it. I was just wondering if it’s actually ok to pass on the glue and not use it at all? It does not seem to be part of the package.

When they call for that cement I usually use E6000. Hobby Lobby, Lowes, Home Depot etc. sells it.

Hallo, tolles Video meine frage, wie bekommt man das spiel vom Differentialgetriebe zum Motor weg , zumindestens weniger. mfg Dieter aus Leipzig

Great video. Just build one myself but I can’t seem to get the servo mounted right. It turns more to the left than to the right. And I did center it. Any suggestions?
@HobbyconceptsLLC Жыл бұрын
You can usually set up sub trim in the radio to get thigs centered and then use the endpoints to set the amount of steering travel. You can set the endpoints differently side to side. For example it might take 88% one way and 103% the other to get it right.

may I ask where u can get these ball-bearing kits for these builds I assume for the semi trucks too

Technical question, since setting motor spacing is an issue with me When you put the paper between the spur and pinion, are you just pushing down until it stops, or are you going for a diamond-shattering death grip? I think doing the latter might be the root of my problems
@HobbyconceptsLLC Жыл бұрын
I just push it til it stops. I am pretty old so death grip no longer an option :-)

I was hoping it had a bruiser type chassis. I guess this chassis is for affordability.
@HobbyconceptsLLC2 жыл бұрын
This is quite a bit smaller than a Bruiser but way more flexible and a lot more suspension travel. Will be a fun crawler type rig. The parts fit and finish is amazing.

Put a Beier SFR-1 in it!
@HobbyconceptsLLC2 жыл бұрын
This will actually get a Beier USM-RC-3 just for fit issues. Should be awesome with sound and lights.
