This was a fun build. Definitely one for the shelf. For info on the technique I used to get the paint to stick, see the link at the end.

another ten quid on top you can buy another holiday buggy kit ,parts to convert it are crazy money ,ive just done it .the handling of the dt02 chassis has gone when its been converted ,.cornering at speed is slowed .as to stop it rolling over .wouldn't bother unless its pottering around with a silver can .i run one with a 3900kv motor and 3s and it handles great. tried the conversion on brushless it spends more time on its roof

Makes you think why didn't Tamiya try and get it a little closer from the start? I don't mind a new chassis for the re-re, but it could at least be the correct track to match the original!

Could I ask, what did you paint it with? The body is made of polythene, and supposedly not paintable. I've just built one and want a brighter colour.

Is this a hard build? I was planning to buy this for my son for his first build.
