I just picked up the Super Hot Shot and packing with all sorts of goodies . Lipo, Brushless, carbon fiber shock towers , Suspension upgrades . I figured since when I was a kid I couldn’t come close to upgrading and what not so I said screw it . I have been buying a Car a month it’s brings back memories. But today I have three young bucks and I am building with them . Nothing like building these kits with our littles ! Thank you for posting

It's a redcat motor and esc came in the wendigo but should be a hobby wing

Thank you and yes most Tamiya cars can handle brushless my original manta ray is brushless to around 3000kv is what I normally run

I wouldnt recommend going brushless in these old dated cars, they just cant handle the power, you'd probably gat a max of 10min before the hotshot starts to full apart, these 80s car are only comfortable at doing 15mph, anymore than that the car ends up in bits, i actually think tamiya cars are better used indoors on flat surfaces.
