Tamiya Hotshot Vs. Tamiya Super Hotshot. 4WD Buggy Rally Head to Head 01 - Hotshot Battle!

The Tamiya Hotshot Vs. The Tamiya Super Hotshot go head to head in a series of 3 lap time trials. Is the OG still able to stand up against its super younger sibling?
Three ad-hoc stages with three laps.The fastest overall time....wins!
This starts the 4wd brushed buggy league and points are awarded thus:
1st place - 9 points
2nd place - 4 points
3rd place - 1 point (where applicable)
These races are for pure fun and by no means definitive.
Both cars are running Tamiya GT Tuned motors.

The Supershot seemed faster but the handling looked skittish. I guess it comes down to looks, where I think the Supershot wins, hands down. Thanks for posting

thanks mate for watching 😊👍 Yeah i don’t think the independent suspension offered a huge advantage. the only thing is you get bearings and a gt tuned motor included with the SH . which would give it sn advantage over a stock hotshot. i really should do a comparison video over winter 😊👍

What a great head to head match! I’m definitely down for a rematch. The HotShots single jingle shock setup did surprisingly well. Tires on the Super Hotshot are wicked. 👍✌️

I really thought the super-hotshot would have done better. It has full ball bearings, 4 wheel independent suspension and a GT tuned motor over the Hotshot, It was a close race. Never underestimate the underdog.

What?..... You mean to say that the gold wheels on the super don't actually make that much difference?!! 😂 Boy that was extremely close mate, both buggies looked right at home on this terrain. 'Not a golf bunker' lol..... My other hobby is golf, and I always end up in the bunkers! One of that size would certainly give me nightmares out on the course! ⛳ Great match fella! 👍 👍 👍

What a great race and so close. You can really see that great's hard to improve. My guess is on the 4 shock setup and the big skid plate on the Super.

tough question . the og has that unique suspension and is more iconic but you do get quite a bit of stuff with the super. the shocks, bearings, undertray and gt tuned motor 👍

The OG Hotshot is amazing when you consider its design is from 1985! I have always loved the looks of it definitely my favourite tamiya 4wd! Well love all the shots! Awesome series and all classics in there own right! Great vid Dom enjoyed that mate!
