Tamiya Hotshot First Run - An Awesome 1/10 RC 4WD Icon!

Welcome to the first ever run of my new re-release Tamiya Hotshot 4WD 1/10 RC Buggy. This was the first eve 4 wheel drive buggy released by Tamiya, but as you can see in this video the design performs brilliantly even to this day!
This Tamiya was a wonderful gift from my friend Peter ‪@cw-01creations46‬ and the colour choice for my Hotshot was made by my good friend Paul ‪@Paul__FC‬ or "Coughlin Corners RC" Thanks Paul, and thanks for letting me choose the colour for your Hotshot!
I hope you enjoy the run as filmed by my very talented son, Alfie, using a GoPro Hero 7 and a Sony AX43 Handycam. Cheers!
About the Tamiya Hotshot
The Hotshot, released in 1985, is a milestone as the first Tamiya 4 Wheel Drive chassis and the forefather of many similar chassis to come. The front and rear suspension both have single shocks and double wishbone system. The rear damper connects to the wishbones through a relatively complex lever system. The Hotshot chassis evolved during production, and was re-released in 2007 where the chassis has received a lot of smaller changes compared to the vintage ones.

Great run of a true Tamiya legend matey. The aqua skyline and dust clouds are a far cry from the washout we have here today! Currently rained off from work,hence the early view. 😉 Loved the forward roll followed by the forward run on just the back wheels ! 👌 This thing really does still outright perform. This one had a real rc dom vibe to it mate. You need to give me some lessons on how to shoot these close up action shots mate,something we really need to improve on ourselves. Hi, I did a little research as I wasn't sure, but the first 4WD car, the world had seen, was the Kyosho Land Jump 4D around 1979 / 1980. 😎👍
