Tamiya Karmann Ghia Pt2

Part 2 of the Tamiya Karmann Ghia build today - a quick summary of the chassis and some of the changes I have made for mounting the body without body posts. Despite playing around with lots of different options I plumped for the simple aluminium brackets and velcro approach as discussed, it has enough built in adjustability that I think it covers most things I need.
Having mounted everything up once to check for fit (and to reduce the risk of making a mistake when its all painted!) its time to take it all apart and prep for paint.

😆Thanks dude - IKEA all the way - easy and doesn't batter the wallet too badly! Needed to do a good job, I spend most of my free time in it... As for the marks, well Tamiya just do Tamiya things 😉

The only problem with Velcro is it will be stuck to the paint on the shell, so it will only be attached to the body shell by the paint. Nice car though, I new you would get a carman one day👍🏻 Went crawling for the first time this year today 😄

Hey Bud! I reckon the glue on the back of the velcro will be the weakest point - Tamiya's lexan paint gets a pretty good grip on lexan. Fingers crossed it lasts OK - there is always Shoe Goo 😀 This one does remind of Sparky's machine although I'm not sure I ever saw him driving it. I'm heading out for a crawl today too, its been too long 😀

Preload dont make springs stiffer just changes ride hight. If you want stiffer need to change spring.
