Tamiya MAN TGX - Project Ainscough - Ep17 - Nooxion Fury Bear Ballast Trailer Wiring - Pt4 - 4k

It's time to get the trailer wired into the trucks MFC-03... it didn't quite go according to plan because the side marker lights wouldn't work. I think it's because the MFC doesn't like too many extra lights adding to it and it certainly doesn't like different type of LED in one single output and I used 3v white in parallel and 2v orange in parallel with a resistor. I will have to rethink how I'm going to get them to work and maybe use the main battery which would be switched vie the MFC via an opto-isolator.
In the meantime, I'm going to run the trailer at the RC Truck club and enjoy it for a while. After all, it's cost me enough money, so I need to enjoy it a little.

it does get better because in the next video I modify the load bed and put safety cables around it... we all love Health & Safety don't we... 🤣

Absolutely gorgeous!!! Impressive. Wiring IS a nightmare, and we all switch or miss a wire... The steering works great too. It looks and runs beautifully! And yes, it SHOULD have been a kit....

Just blows me away all this. The patience and knowledge needed to figure all this stuff out is mental. I put my truck away for a year or more when it started to get a bit complicated (very simple for everyone else lol) but it is coming out again soon so my enthusiasm and interest is on the rise again lol I am determined to get this thing built and finished to a standard I am happy with. Power up the trailer lights from the onboard battery (the servo battery) not as you would like but a small switch in the locker could work and be self contained... which could be useful if the trailer is parked alone .. but maybe you have covered this in a future vid .. I will keep looking, otherwise, as always a great job and good progress in the right direction. But the beacons defaulting to on is a bit of a pain, I have the same beacons from Astec and the same functions. but hey oh, not a problem.

I always thought Fury Bear was a pretty lame name to call a Trailer. But they have changed their name to Nooxion which is better.

Truck looks amazing. Why not use the RC4wd remote light switch for the trailer auxiliary lights? Would take the stress away from the mfc-03. It's what I use on my wrecker without any problems.

it's an option I'm considering... I have ran the truck at a RC Truck meet but editing means I'm a little behind on publishing the updates. I've found weak points in the trailer connections so I'll be addressing them in due course.

Thanks... I'm really happy with how it's turning out, it's been a long road but it'll be worth it in the end. Wiring and electronics was a part of my job years ago, and nothing much has changed since then.
