Hi Tom, sent a shiver down my back watching you de-seam the body, an old friend had a fully de-seamed mini cooper S back in 1980, he brought it back to Manchester UK from jersey UK. it was awesome dressed in British racing green, totally inspired I bought a mini in 1982, and proceeded to de-seam it, mig welding and brazing every 4 inches to stop the body warping...before you get too far with your model de-seam the roof too, believe me it will look better....thanks for bringing lots of great memories flooding back

I do like the fact you have deseamed the mini. Quite popular in the 80s with the minis back in the 80s in the UK.

Do you sand between color coats? the subtitles talks about sanding paper after dry time. I am presuming it's an editing mistake, right?

I sand after the primer. Not colors

How do you like the 2k primer? It looks like you're getting insanely good coverage on the first coat! I accidentally ordered it instead of the normal primer, but haven't had the chance to use it yet. And what is the point of going over it again with 1k primer?

Thanks for all your interesting videos. I have a question on airbrush needle size. You used to use a 0.2mm needle but I noticed you changed to a 0.4mm needle some while ago. Was there any particular reason?

I like the flow better with a 0,4

So many ideas you could of incorporated in this model, union jack roof/ checker board patterns? An original mini colour not a modern colour on an old shell. Could of even built the famous Monte carlo rally car , Im not saying the end product is bad its very good in fact just think you played it safe.

Each to there own and no bad feelings, ive subbed for two years and never seen a bad model from you yet, but when you choose a classic mini theres just sooooo much you could of done but hey its your model do as you wish.

@@TheScalemodelingChannel Yeah. That line that goes from the roof down between the windscreen panel and door panel, and from the roof again down between the rear side window and rear panel where the boot (trunk) is... They are seams. Lots of owners do that. You've obviously gone a step further and taken the door hinges off, the exposed hinges were only on the earlier ones not the later ones. Once again you're thinking outside the box. Nice colour too!

Glad it's a model Mini because if you took off the lines you did on the real car, it would fall apart because that's where the manufacturer put it together
