Probably a combination of your country's Health and Safety requirements for labeling, like the flammable logo must be a certain size and so on, and whoever works in your Tamiya distributor/importer in charge designing the stickers not being creative enough to find a workaround. In a Florymodel's videos they discussed the same theme for UK and EU where they stopped importation of Tamiya stuff because of labeling for a while. Itneeded a piece of paper so big that no matter how you wouldn't be able to stick it over the tiny tamiya bottles without covering all the original info. What they did was to tape the edge of a very long long paper and wrap it around the bottle, but not completely obstructing the original label.

Your paint bottles are so pretty and noticeably not messy. I must be a spaz.

I'm retired, yay!...and work part time in a hobby shop. (min wage - best job ever!) lol The plethora of warning labels drives me nuts too. They are haphazardly slapped on, and can only add to the cost. .......and they're as ugly as a baboon's arse. Canada eh.

I bought recently a XF19 and XF-69 in Portugal and there no extra label. Probably Canadian ou US government label.

I can't find instructions or safety warnings in Spanish on a Tamiya paint or glue or tool or plastic model or RC car or you name it, here in Spain, the ol' Europe, you know...since last century. And I can swear that I own several of them. I do read and understand English badly, but lots of Spanish people don't, and I can also tell you that here we pay more money for the same without getting any translation at all. I don't blame Tamiya at all, I love their products more than 35 years ago, but I'd like to know who's distributing it here... Cheers from Madrid, Spain!

Different danger label in the US: we get a round sticker on the lid warning of titanium dioxide exposure. Looks like we get to die from burning paint, though.

@@kamui004 I'm kind of amazed when I buy a random product "this product has been known to cause cancer of the state of California". That must cause some parnoia for customers.

I've just had a look at the extra label pasted on to my Mr Hobby paints- what they have done is put a leaflet that is the height of the label by half a meter long!, i measured it, 53cm with warnings in a dozen or so languages. To me this is at best unnecessary and at worst a waste of paper. But that's just my opinion. Take care, Rebel :)

So, what's next? A robotic voice that activates every time the bottle is opened saying: "Danger Will Robinson, Danger".

It'll be your distributor who supplies the model shops. Thats who's doing in the uk.

Not sure that's a Canada thing. I would assume that all such stickers in Canada would need to be bilingual.

What a pointless thing to do! And yes it's such a minor inconvenience but it's little things like this that also get under my skin. Still, it probably keeps someone in a minimum wage job somewhere. Imagine being the guy that has to put them on though.......

@@brinx8634 seconded. As if product reviews and random thoughts about them weren't part of the model building process. "Why do Humbrol paints made in India gunk up even before being used? Why Mig Jimenez paints rot in the bottle? Why is Tamiya being boicotted in Canada?"
