Very nice. Would this build be too technical for a newbie?

Thank you!! This is the most easy to build but painting could be needed some practice. Somehow this kit is worth it. Don’t worry about fail-things because there is spare-part.

I’ve got a TT01e chassis and just got this shell second hand but there’s a massive gap between the tyres and the wheel wells. How does yours fit so neatly without any gaps between the wheel arches? Are you using wider wheel hexs?
@rckwang9128
@rckwang9128 Жыл бұрын
I used 9mm wheel hexes for using normal 26mm width rear tires. If you bought a kit if it, there would be 32mm-width rear tires. But I wanted to use normal width(26mm)tires, so I made it with 9mm hexes and long shafts. Thank you!!

Fitting decals to a curved surface like the Porsche 911 body must be difficult. Did you apply the decals straight to the body or did you wet the body first?
@rckwang9128
@rckwang9128 3 жыл бұрын
I apply decals straight to the body with keeping little tension of decals. So the decal is slightly remained on the edge and I cut it everytime. I really agree that difficulty of curved surface decalling.
@BlackSeaRC
@BlackSeaRC 3 жыл бұрын
@@rckwang9128 Sometimes you can spend hours cutting out the body, masking it up, painting it, getting it perfect, and then a decal on a curved surface gets a crease in it and there's nothing you can do about it!
@rckwang9128
@rckwang9128 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly!! I spend hours and days to get it perfect. But I haven’t made a perfect car like TAMIYA XB series yet. I pull decals to prevent creases when the body is curved and then scorch it with a lighter in the end. Scorching makes decals stick on the body better. scorch - push - scorch - push again. :)

how fitting and cutting rear fender stripe decal.
@rckwang9128
@rckwang9128 2 жыл бұрын
It is very simple. 1.Make guide-line with masking tape. 2.Attech decal from the end. 3.Stretch decal to the direction of guide-line, and attach it, and stretch little bit, and attach it again. 4. Cut the rest. 5.Torch with lighter(fire) to fix the stretched decal. That is it. Thank you!!
