It was a dull day, but that beauty of a buggy sure brightened it right up! 😮

Great video. I’m going to build one of those. I’ve wanted one for years! Forget about the car for a minute. You did a really nice job with the video and I loved seeing the old Malcom Smith footage. Thank you!!!

Great job! Love the paintjob, decals & detailing. You have also tuned the rear suspension properly and did not set it up too high, lovely!

Ball park same age. I've been on /off again in RC racing. Currently racing modern and vintage. There's a strong Vintage racing/rc appreciation groups around. Find your tribe. :)

Great build and attention to detail based of the original buggy 👌. Keep an eye on the larger pinion you used which is aluminum compared to the smaller 15 which is steel. They tend to wear out fairly quickly and will make a nasty paste. Cheers from California ✌️

Great video… and the story sounds so familiar. I started with the grass hopper but my dad stole my thunder and built it with me watching on the sidelines, then the monster beetle came 2 years later which I built…. Been buying rtr’s since 2022 when I got the itch for Rc again, now I think I need to build again as I miss that part of the hobby.. thanks again for the video.

@@garethbendall2490 wow, that’s a pleasure. I promised when I started the channel it would be about scale builds and custom mods. I haven’t got enough interest in chasing RTR new releases just to drive viewing numbers and money. 😎

Great video, you could have got more mileage out of that, one video on the chassis, one on the body and then running it. Good work and it looks fab. Note to self, I must finish mine 😂😂

@@alanbrown8296 Ha, get yours done! 😂 I normally do split vids, it’s a balance of how much content to deliver and this one just hoped it would be a one stop guide and a test to see if this was more successful/engaging. Thank you 🙏

I think you’ve got one of the better RC channels. Just my view, but if you can get 2 or 3 videos out of a project it’s probably good for your output. I appreciate it’s more work. I’m assuming you’re on Tamiya Base or Tamiya Club, I really like the restorations and builds, the more details the better.
