The TT-02 kit is a fun kit to build. I had the TT-02 chassis as well as the TA-05R and loved both. Awesome and clean build. Im thinking about getting another one to build.

Great video! I am starting my build tonight. Local shop out here runs a monthly Fun Rally Series and most guys run the TT02 and the XV01. Dirt and rocks sure are a problem. One guy had plastic pieces screwed in to block a lot of the chassis. I plan on making a mesh cover held down with Velcro. It will still breath but blocks debris. They make a kit for a lot of bigger more expensive vehicles like Traxxas abs it works well. Basically a breathable inner chassis cover. Would do wonders on these little guys I think. Again great vid. Thanks for sharing!

With my own Tamiya Impreza kit on the way, it's good to know how easily the chassis can be laden with gravel when driving outdoors.

Everyone who gets that in his feed, and is thinking or currently running his TT02 like that, please get the Tamiya 22023 TT-02 Chassis Cover Set! It costs around 11 USD and will save you a lot of headaches! Not all of them but a lot of them😅 Literally the best upgrade on my TT02 so far.

How to clean TT02: pretty much takes the entire thing apart. I just did this myself this past weekend! Time to invest in a shroud or something.
@simpleisthebest73
@simpleisthebest73 3 жыл бұрын
I only do this whenever I run it on the dirt ground. It was only for filling purpose. Otherwise I try to avoid running it on dirt. I probably wouldn’t take the entire thing apart, if I didn’t use ball bearings and high grade oil damper.. plastic bushings are much easier to maintain.

With all the RTR vehicles today,not many remember having to build a radio control car from a kit. Was that a Wheely King in the back ground?

Hi! great video! How about the quality of the tt02 chassis? I am between this chassis and the kyosho fazer mk2..because both have 2 differentials, but I don't know which one will have more resistance and longevity, which of the 2 will resist, more speed, without damaging, differentials, gears, arrows ... greetings and a strong hug!
@simpleisthebest73
@simpleisthebest73 4 жыл бұрын
First of all, thanks the compliment! For the TT02, if you build it well. It’s not a bad starter machine. Kyosho Fazer Mk2.. it’s coast more, but i think it’s better and much more robust machine. If you don’t mind spend more. You might want to go for the Mk2. But I’m more big fan of Tamiya. I hope my comment help you decide which car you want..
@simpleisthebest73
@simpleisthebest73 4 жыл бұрын
One more thing. If you’re getting TT02. You might want to spend more money getting all the hop-up parts which that’s gonna coast more than the car it self. Than it will comparable to MK2. But I think you can have a lots fun even with minimal option parts to start with.

@simpleisthebest73
@simpleisthebest73 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, it is a very get dirty machine lol, but I love the process of building and disassemble. Those dampers are from Tamiya that I bought about 25 years ago at RC store in Japan. I don't know the item # for it though. Sorry..
