Hi there and thank you so much for watching my video. Yeah, I wanted to change things a little, so went with the hard sunroof idea instead a the traditional glass type. I also thought that in the old days, glass sunroofs were given the stigma of being an after market add on, whereas, the solid sunroof was always regarded as being a factory fit option. Take care, keep well. 😊😉

@@JF-RC id agree, grew up thinking glass was rebellious, and panels were classy

Wow, John! You did a fantastic job on this hard body, you detailing skills are excellent! If mine comes out half s good, I'm going to be chuffed. Still undecided on the main colour, leaning towards a light blue at the moment, but yours looks so cool in box-art. All the best, my good friend! :O)

Hi Mark, hope you’re keeping well. You’re too kind. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of a hard body😊. I’m sure a man of your skills and expertise, I’m sure you’ll make just as good, if not better job than me. I thought about the blue too, but my wife being Italian, I had to go with the TS8 Italian Red. 😊😉. Thank you for viewing. Looking forward to your master piece. Take care, keep safe and well and all the best to the family. 😊😉

@@JF-RC I as good as good can be thanks, is that a hard body resin I have done 4 so far am working with 5 and 6 at the moment to I prefer them to lean bodies they are easier to work with and to paint up I find

Hi Addam, hope your keeping well. Thank you for viewing my video. It’s been a labour of love and and a new learn experience of painting resin bodies instead of the polycarbonate ones. I’ve a few more resin bodies, so, it was nice to get a practice run. Take care, keep safe and well, all the best to the family. 😁😊😉

Thank you for watching my video. The Subaru Brat has always been on my must have and this re-release has both body types, cool Rc, just got to do a running video. Painting took around 15-20 hours each body. Labour of love. Take care and thank you for subscribing, appreciate your help and support. 😉😊

@@JF-RC that is some real dedication to the end result! My cars are all runners on the backyard track and while I give them a good few hours on the body work they always look like a wreck after the first few runs 😂 I have a few planned cars with driver figures so will be watching your videos for tips 👍🏻

Hiya John. Been away and just catching up on some vids. Anyway you have done a fantastic job on this. You've done far more detail than I managed. Driver especially good. I need to go back and check out the rest of the build when I get a mo but I was keen to see how the body came out. Hope all is well my friend :-)

Hi Pete, hope you had a nice break away and you’re keeping well ( I won’t ask online where you went, for security). Thank you for catching up on the bodywork process. This was my first resin body, so thought I’d better make an effort 😊😉. Yeah I pleased with the way it’s turned out, took between 15-20 hrs per body, especially the masking, painting, cleaning and re masking. Steady hand for the black around the window frames and tail gate etc… driver figure was all hand painted. Please do catch up on other videos, would love to hear any feedback. Just finishing an RC that the RC Elf gifted, you’ll see that coming online next week onwards. Slowed down a bit now though, back to work full time☹️ if only I could do RC’s for a living 😊😉take care, welcome back, keep safe and well. Sent you an email about a Nitrogen powered TT02 that Tamiya & Toyota teamed up with, hop you don’t mind.

Looks fantastic now that you have done both style bodies what do you prefer
@JF-RC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, hope you’re keeping well and thank you for watching. Hmmm, polycarbonate or resin? That’s a tricky question really, the polycarbonate is more harder to mask because you’re working inside out, but you know the protection is going to be there when involve in a bump, but the resin was easier to ensure the details can be added, but you’ve the worry of bumps and scrapes. I’m going to go with the polycarbonate is my preference. Take care and keep well and all the best to the family 😊😉
@madmustangrc2143 жыл бұрын
I to see the pro's and cons to both. The detail you get from a hard body is hard to beat. For me I find it user working from the inside out now do to all the wild paint jobs I try and Im sure all the bodies I have painted as long as you remember everything is backwards. Stay well bud. Until the next one.
