@@UncleBobsRC Exactly mate! I have a few cars that are there specifically for bashing/having fun with...... I drive them in all weather, don't bother cleaning them etc. I also have other cars that just sit on the shelf looking pretty that I can reminisce over, these are totally mint and get dusted regularly and cherished. I get enjoyment out of both sides of the hobby. I've not yet built my super clod, but when I do I'm pretty sure it's going to be a runner! Thanks man, it's all stock other than bearings (it does have steel pinions but they are the same tooth count as kit ones) The CVA shocks won't give it more speed, nor will the tail gate or grill. The lipo on the other hand will. The esc can handle more amps than the Tamiya esc it came with, also, the esc I'm using switches faster (hertz) than the Tamiya unit, it might even be better than the Hobbywing 880 esc on 2S, just no lipo cutoff. As for snow, we had a huge dump a while ago but that was it, this what you see here we got over night. "She can dance if she wants to, She can leave this world behind" LOL, sorry I had to type that.

@UncleBobsRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rob, It's pure Clod Porn all the way mate!!!! That truck is stock (other than bearings, steel pinions & 2S lipo) but you know, I can't and don't like to count bearings as an up-grade cause the kits should come with them anyway. As for the pinions, they are the stock tooth count so no advantage there, only the Lipo gave it more speed & longer runs. It was just above freezing so not too bad out, plus I was in the back yard so heat & warmth wasn't far away. Do you own a 7 cell stick pack? if so, remove the spacers from the battery cups and a 7 cell stick pack fits the stock Clod chassis, hint, hint..

Hey cool run (quite literally) Bob! We haven't had any snow at all yet this year although I'm not complaining. This looks like the perfect vehicle for the conditions and looks great bouncing along. Looks quick enough to be fun. I see that yours isn't running stock so how much quicker is this than how it would be out of the box with nimh?
@UncleBobsRC2 жыл бұрын
Hiya Pete!!!! The only thing I did is put bearings in it (the norm for a Tamiya kit) and I'm running a Gartpot 2S lipo. Oh, steel pinions too but same tooth count as kit ones. I think, if I remember, stock with nimh pack is @ 12 mph, I think. Back in the day, the OG Clod had a power/economy switch (I still have one) and that would cut the power in half for longer runs... But, that was tossed out when switching to an ESC.
